Welcome to 2022

Welcome to all our BPS families to 2022. I hope everyone had a great break and enjoyed the time at

home with your families. My family and I didn’t go away at all but relaxed a little, enjoyed our

Christmas and completed some renovations (never ending)!

We have had a great start to the year. Our assessment days on Monday and Tuesday allowed us to hit

the ground running. Teachers were able to pinpoint areas of need for each student and are currently in

the process of developing Individual Education Plans (IEP’s) for each student.

Our new Foundation students; Hugh, Teddy, Adalee and Marlie have settled in well. Our other students

are back with enthusiasm and excited to see all their friends.

Hello everyone! I am very excited to be back at school! Welcome back to all of our kids, and a big welcome to our new preps- Hugh, Teddy, Adalee and Marlie! This year we have 10 students in the F-2 class. A huge well done to all students for the assessments they smashed out in the first few days of term. We are spending the re-mainder of this week making classroom rules and settling our preps into routine, and we will hit the ground running with our learning next week. In literacy this term we are learning about ‘Kings and Queens’ using a new comprehensive, content rich learning resource. In maths, we will have a large focus on numbers, counting and place value.

This year I am also teaching Auslan to both grades which I am super excited about! Yesterday we began with some revision of previously learnt signs, and we will go over other topics before learning new signs in the coming weeks.
