Arogya Foundation of India
PRELUDE
In the life of growing organization the growth in itself is the greatest inspiration
and acts as a morale booster. Arogya Foundation of India in its 15th
year has
expanded immensely from one state with ARC, in 2015 to 8 states in 2017 - from
only 5 sanch in 2015 to 29 sanch in March 2017. Robust health of organization
reflects internal strength of its volunteers (Sevavratis) guardians (Chapters of
Arogya Foundation of India) and supporters (HFRI USA).
Just like growing child who needs extra nourishment, when Arogya Foundation
with its extra ordinary growth needed extra finance to sustain the newly
developed ARCs, EVF USA extended its hand of support with 100 thousand
dollars.
The state chapters of AFI, realizing the importance of Health revolution (ARCs are
slowly bringing about), have started owning them with local support. Mumbai
chapter excelled by initiating the whole Arogya Yojna in Maharashtra with its own
resources in which Braj Foundation played a supportive role. Ranchi chapter,
consecutively for second year supported almost 15 villages of Jharkhand. Assam
chapter also kicked off generating local resources this year. Delhi chapter started
supporting Health work in UP. Coimbatore and Ranchi Chapters celebrated annual
function to attract more donors to its fold.
New Year dawned with the rise of a new strength in Coimbatore. In absence of its
previous nucleus of activity late Dr Satish, Hema ji successfully filled the vaccum
and the AFI projects of Home Remedies certificate course, School Health Program
and ARC marched ahead with a new vigour.
The year ended with the culmination of prestigious project of Swachh Bharat
Abhiyan in 106 villages of 2 Sanch of Gola and Bhandra of Jharkhand. A third party
impact study by ADRI is in progress in the field not only to study the impact but
also to suggest for improvement of methodology. ADRI is Patna based
organization whom Jharkhand Govt. has appointed to study impact of Sarva
Shikhsha Abhiyan in the state.
Like every year all the Swasthya Seva Yatra in different states – Rishi
Kashyap Swashthya Seva Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir, Madan Mohan Malviya
Swasthya Seva Yatra in East UP and Sidhu Kanhu Swasthya Seva Yatra in
Jharkhand in association with National Medicos Organization were organized as
before.
Premedical Internship Program for US Students is now an established
phenomenon for every year. This year 5 students took part in the program.
General Medical Camps are losing importance as tool of awareness as
routine awareness programs like Prabhat Pheri, School Awareness program.
House to house visit group meetings, wall writing of slogans by Arogya Sevikas
have overtaken medical camps more efficiently as a means of health awareness.
A project aiming to teach perennial hygiene to the rural masses is initiated
in Jharkhand in association with a Sanitary Napkin producing company Sathi Pads.
A Project of Telemedicine is taking shape in Odissa with the help of HFRI
and John Hopkin’s Bio Engineering Dept.
IRCON is the first company to assist Arogya Foundation through its CSR
funds in organizing Rishi Kashyap Swasthya Seva Yatra in J&K.

Swachch Bharat Abhiyan
November 2015 to March 2017
BLOOMING HEALTH AWARENESS IN VILLAGES
After ages of darkness of ignorance gradually the light of knowledge about
healthy ways and habits of life are dawning in 105 villages of Bhandra and Gola
blocks of Lohardaga and Ramgarh districts of Jharkhand under Swachch Bharat
Mission of Arogya Yojana of Ekal Abhiyan.
Annual Day Program
Coimbatore
The function on 22nd March presented the results of a beautiful concept conceived by late Dr. Satish and applied whole heartedly by his better half Mrs.Hemamalini for "The eradication of Anemia and Malnutrition " from the heart of India. The most beautiful part of the function was the 1st hand reviews of villagers from the 5 districts of Tamil Nadu who had adopted the Life style changes taught by Mrs. Hemamalini's dedicated team .The lifestyle changes that were suggested by the team included home remedies (Dadi ma ke nuskhe ) of which all of us have forgotten and want to go to hospital for all medical needs that can be taken care of, from our kitchen and kitchen garden.
I personally applied the lifestyle changes and home remedies on me and my family and the results were above expectations. I am happy to have attended this course and I appreciate the effort put in by the team.
The program was graced with the presence of :
1. Mananiya Shri Shyam ji
2. Padmashree Shri Krishnakumar Ji (Chairman AFI)

Master’s Trainers Training Program

training was held at Mumbai since 5 to 9 August 2016,
sponsored by Gokul Braj Foundation and Second one specially
in Home Remedies at Coimbatore sponsored by Coimbatore
