MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN OF ACEHK To echo one of the initiatives in supplementing growth of the ACEHK, we have organized this Annual Seminar with the theme “Enhancing Project Cost Management”. This theme is in line with the objective of the Project Cost Management Office (PCMO) to achieve cost control and cost reduction measures for capital works projects in Hong Kong. To meet this goal, we have to strive for the best strategies, solutions and measures with collaboration of all stakeholders in the industry. This Seminar will provide a useful platform for engineering professionals to exchange experience and ideas and share lessons learnt. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage your participation in this Seminar and join hands to drive our construction business in the most cost effective and sustainable manner. MESSAGE FROM CHAIRMAN OF THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE It gives me very great pleasure to welcome you to our ACEHK Annual Seminar. Cost management, which includes cost estimating, budgeting, controls and applications, is important at every stage throughout the life cycle of a project - planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance. This Seminar aims to promote the cost management initiatives and measures of works projects in Hong Kong so that cost savings can be achieved without compromising functionality, safety and quality of works. This Seminar will bring together experienced professionals across a wide spectrum of disciplines to share and discuss effective project cost management on how to maintain effective financial control of our projects through evaluation, estimating, organizing, controlling, forecasting and reporting every cost element.
