    Archives and Museum Management Service

    The Archives and Museum Management Bureau and Service, formerlythe Legislative Archives Service, is the official and sole repository of all

    records (papers, audio and video files, and other artefacts) relating to thefinished and unfinished business of the House of Representatives. As such, ittakes custody of, organizes and preserves these records to maintain andprotect their historical values and serve them when needed by any person,group or institution.

    For the year 2011, the highlights of accomplishments of the Archivesand Museum Bureau and Service are as follows:

    - Repair/Repainting of Museum- Publication of Compendium of all laws and Executive Issuances from

    1907-2010 related to Welfare and Protection of Children and DisasterResponse Management;

    - Publication of Compendium of all laws and Executive Issuances relatedto Transportation (Land, Air, Water) from 1907-2010;

    - Publication of Selected Speeches of the Members of the House ofRepresentatives of the15th Congress entitled In the Name of the People;

    - Publication of postcards and note cards of the House ofRepresentatives;

    - AIPA Caucus Report

    The AMMS also continued the implementation of the followingprograms, which were

    earlier implemented as part of the services strategic plan formulated twoyears ago:

    - Comprehensive Archival Collection, Digitization Program- e-Archives Services Program- External Linkage Development Program- Infopack Enrichment Program- Green Public Service Program

    The following are the specific details of the work outputs of the AMMSfor 2011:

    Other accomplishments of the AMMS include the following:

    - Assisted in the Asian Inter-parliamentary Association Caucus held at

    the House of Representatives on June 1-3, 2011;- Maintained physical arrangement of documents in storage area;- Prepared/encoded Inventory Lists in preparation of Union Catalogue of

    Archival Holdings;- Conducted Guided and Interactive Tours, thereby serving 5,048 visitors

    in 2011. Most of the members of the tour groups were students fromvarious schools and universities, local government officials and

    constituents of House Members, members of diplomatic corps andMembers of Parliament of other countries;

    - Implemented the Interactive Tour, the highlight of which is giving awayof tokens/souvenirs, such as ballpen, fan, key chain, and other smallitems;

    - Continuous implementation of Clients Assessment Program;- As part of the continuing education program for the Archives andMuseum staff, we visited the following museums:

    Barasoain Church, Malolos City, BulacanBangkoSentralngPilipinas, Roxas Boulevard, ManilaAteneo de Manila University, Quezon CityQuezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City
