4. Transforming Education

Transforming Education supports educators and education systems in equipping students with the mindsets, essential skills, and habits (MESH) they need to succeed in college, career, and life.

Delta’s role:How can we enable our students to succeed?

Transforming Education has asked Delta to assist in answering its two broad research questions: what mindsets, essential skills, habits, and skills (MESH) are worth focusing on, and what can education systems do to build these skills?

They have created a unique and large dataset that spans 6 major CA school districts (CORE districts) and covers half a million students. The data include student self-reported MESH competencies (Self-Management, Self-Efficacy, Growth Mindset, and Social Awareness) as well as teacher reports on two of these skills for their students (Self-Management and Social Awareness), and student academic / behavioral data.

TechnoServe invests in many different types of enterprises and sectors to raise the incomes of millions of people. They want to understand the impact of projects in different areas and the return for their program participants.
