Learning Workshop What is Accelerated Learning?

Accelerated learning (A.L.) is the most advanced teaching and learning method in use today. It's a total system for speeding and enhancing both the design process and the learning processes. Based on the latest brain research, it has proven again and again to increase learning effectiveness while saving time and money in the process. Many of today's leading organizations and educational institutions are benefiting from the power of accelerated learning.

Here are the Key Elements of Building an Optimal Learning Environment that Accelerates Learning:

Learning Workshop Workshop Overview

Organizations spend large amounts of money on training and development and yet, many feel that the return on investment of many of those programs is negligible. That can change!

You will discover how to start the learning journey on the job before the formal learning program starts. The pre-work activities you design will spark thinking, sharing and generate excitement for the learning to come. You will be able to develop learners' skills quickly and efficiently by applying a careful combination of centering and connection activities, creative presentations, discovery activities, games, simulations, practical skill-building activities and guided reflection. The use of music, storytelling, powerful visuals and guided activities that involve real life scenarios will help learners connect to the learning more deeply and generate the intrinsic motivation to do what it takes to master the material and apply what they've learnt back at work. You will discover ways to make the learning stick and how to sustain the learning and encourage further development back on the job.

The job aids, templates and provided materials will help you design and deliver training that gets results consistently.

Who Should AttendThis program is recommended for Training Directors/Managers, Trainers/Facilitators, Instructional Designers, and Learning Consultants. In this practical and interactive two day program, you will experience the power of Accelerated Learning to deepen and enhance the learning process from the design phase through implementation and follow up. You will learn how to create a systemic and systematic approach to training design and development that gets you the results you want. You will learn how to facilitate any learning program - online, face-to-face or on the job - by using the Accelerated Learning cycle effectively to design and deliver training that moves beyond "spray and pray" or "sit and get" to a learning process in which each learner is completely involved in the learning process. You will ensure that the money you invest gets results by design, not by chance!

OutcomesOn completion of this workshop, you will be able to

Apply the Accelerated Learning Cycle to design, develop and deliver effective and efficient learning programs

Design an engaging learning environment that supports learning, experimentation, the building of a community of practice and the development of key skills

Use music, games, simulations, discovery activities, and reflective processes to facilitate deep learning and transformation

Identify and work with limiting beliefs, organizational constraints and help learners develop their capacity to learn and apply their learning on the job

Use language and stakeholder engagement effectively to generate motivation and gain both learners' and managers' buy-in for the work that needs to be done to master key concepts, processes and ensure that learners develop and apply the skills needed to positively impact the business
