Fiona has been working extensively in the accounting field for over 15 years, and is currently one of the practising partners of a medium size firm in Central, Hong Kong. She has considerable practical experience in auditing, tax, corporate governance and risk management as her firm serves a large variety of multinational and local entities. Fiona obtained her Doctorate of Philosophy Business Administration from International America University in November 2011.

Fiona is a famous and experienced exam trainer for ACCA exam as she has taught over 8000 accountancy students in the past through 2 local training institutions (one of which was started by her). She is very familiar with the ACCA exam structure as she has passed the ACCA exam herself. She is also a technical writer for well-known publishers for publishing materials for accountancy students. Alvin qualified as a CPA in 1999 and is currently a practising CPA who is regarded as an all-rounded professional accountant as he possesses over 18 years experiences in domain of financial reporting, corporate finance and pre-IPO restructuring, management consultancy, Hong Kong and PRC tax planning for individuals and corporations, as well as audit, assurance, and financial due diligences.

Alvin is very familiar with the latest changes and development in the Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards and also familiar with the PRC and Macau accounting standards as he is currently a Practising Director of a fast growing CPA firm in Hong Kong, with offices in Shenzhen and Macau, which are implementing all these rapidly changing standards in his practices. With the comprehensive and up to date knowledge in financial accounting, he is capable to advise his clients constructively on the applications of these complex accounting standards in a simple way and be able to give clear explanations and offer practical solutions. Walter is a young, energetic full-time lecturer who has extensive teaching experience in teaching top academic and professional programmes on Corporate Finance and Financial Reporting in some well-known universities like University of London and University of Leeds Beckett, and also professional institutes in Hong Kong such as HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education, School of Continuing and Professional Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Community College of City University etc.

Walter graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Business Administration and later obtained his Master of Science in Finance in University of Michigan Dearborn. Walter started his career in the commercial sector by joining one of the associate companies of Ernst & Young, CPA as accountant, responsible for performing wide-ranged financial advisory services, including financial management and treasury management, and financial report for a wide range of multi-national clients. Later he joined two well known groups, The Philip Group and HSBC Group as accounting managers, responsible for corporate financing and corporate accounting services.

Subsequently in 2007, he had a chance to enter into the academic field by acting as both full-time lecturer and course leader, responsible for teaching courses on financial management, management accounting, financial accounting, financial analysis, and regulatory framework for financial services. Having mastered his teaching skills in past few years on Corporate Financing and Financial Reporting. Walter is now a popular lecturer and external examiner in modules of Corporate Financing and Financial reporting. Currently, Walter is our ETC external exam marker for ACCA F7 paper and mentor for the OBU programme.

Walter is a very knowledgeable lecturer who can teach multi-papers and having Walter on board, he can demonstrate to ETC students the exam techniques in passing ACCA F7, especially pointing out key areas where students can gain more marks. In addition, with such diversified and extensive business experiences, he can definitely guide his mentees in obtaining the OBU degree. Miss Mabel Ho

Mabel has extensive working experience in the financial industry and has been in the posts of Financial Controller and Chief Accountant for many large multinational listed group companies in Hong Kong. Her responsibilities included strategic management work, forecasting, budgeting, complex consolidation work, and IT implementation.

In 2004, Mabel has extended her career by taking up the post as lecturer for two local universities, contributing her talents and knowledge into the education sector. She is currently a senior lecturer of a college which is jointly founded by local and PRC universities. Mabel is very competent in teaching P3 Business Analysis and P5 Advanced Performance Management as she has been involved in teaching plenty of courses that are related to:

• Assessment of strategic position of an organization• Evaluation of strategic choices and strategy implementation• IT implementation; and• Project Management; etc.

Mabel has concrete teaching experience in giving guidance to ACCA students as she has been a mentor in the ACCA Mentorship program, workshop facilitator and examination marker for other professional bodies.

Mabel has a very solid academic background by having three master degrees in Finance, Tax and Business Administration and has been a professional CPA for a long time. She believes that she has possessed massive exam technical skills to help her ETC students in passing P3 and P5, the essential and optional ACCA papers under the changed syllabus.
