Academic stress is the mental stress or frustration due to some academic failure .

Academic stress can be a ultimate career stopper

In a survey of the 97,357 college students, 32 percent reported that academic stress had resulted in either lower grade or a dropped course.

Factors of academic stress Strong parental pressure about marks and making career choice PEER pressure – friends continuously compare marks and extent of revision done Not having a special friend from opposite sex . Achievement anxiety – fear of failure in academics Over expectation of parents , teachers and coaches, Poor performance in extra circular activities , sports etc. Ineffective time management Sleep deprivation – less hours of sleeping results in anxiety, anger, less concentration etc. Course is not of our interest
