Call For
LDQ Editorship Applications
In accordance with the policy of the Board of Trustees of the Council for Learn- ing Disabilities, the editorship of the Learning Disability Quarterly (LDQ) is a three-year appointment. At the end of that term we invite applications for the position, both renewal from the current editor and new applications from interested persons within the organization.
Qualifications 1. Applicants must be members of the Council for Learning Disabilities, preferably with a demonstrated record of active service in the field of learn- ing disabilities.
2. Applicants must demonstrate a. research skills as evidenced by publication of research articles; b. editorial/writing skills as evidenced by the writing of textbooks,
monographs, and scholarly papers; c. managerial abilities needed for producing the LDQ in a timely
manner and for keeping the Board of Trustees of the Council for Learning Disabilities informed of journal-related matters.
3. Applicants must provide evidence of their understanding of issues and problems in the field of learning disabilities and of the direction the journal might take under their leadership. 4. Applicants must possess the ability to work cooperatively with others (e.g., authors, reviewers, and the Executive Secretary of the organization).
Application Procedures The Board of Trustees of the Council for Learning Disabilities invites in- terested persons to submit a letter of application that addresses the re- quirements noted above. Please enclose (a) a current vita and (b) a state- ment of intended journal direction under your leadership. Send all materials in one packet to:
