Technology behind AC

What is Air Conditioning

Air conditioning is the

process whereby the

condition of air, as defined

by its temperature and

moisture content is

changed.

Working Principle of AC

The Technology behind making

your home cooler actually due

to the transfer of heat. When

that heat is lost, or removed,

the remaining cold air cools the

room.

Central AC

The central air conditioning

system has two type of

components: namely Indoor Unit

and Outdoor Unit. They work

together to keep your place with

comfortable cool stay throughout

the year.

What is Evaporator

The Indoor unit consists ofa coil box that containswhat is called anevaporator

Functioning of Evaporator

The evaporator allows for the

refrigerant. Freon is a cooling fluid

inside the coil piping to evaporate

and absorb heat. Once the heat is

absorbed from inside your home,

it leaves nothing but cool air to be

sent back into your home.

Outdoor Unit

Outdoor Unit

The outdoor unit is normally

placed in the rear or side of

house and it is where the heat

from inside your home is

dispersed. It contains the

compressor, condenser coil

and a fan.

Central AC Compressor

Compressor

The heat absorbed from

home’s air is transferred to the

refrigerant and then pumped

to the outdoor unit. As this

heat is absorbed and moved

by the refrigerant to the

outdoor coil, it passes throughthe compressor.

Function of Compressor

The compressor in air

conditioning system has the

primary job of moving the

refrigerant throughout the system.

This is important as we can then

keep reusing the refrigerant tocool our house.

What is condenser?

The refrigerant iscompressed to a higherpressure, and movedthrough the outdoor coilknown as the condenser.

Importance of Condenser

As the refrigerant passes through thecondenser, a fan delivers ambient airacross the condenser coil causing it tocool. As the process completes, theheat from inside your house is dispersedto the air outside your house. Therefrigerant is then pumped back indoorsand the whole process repeats.
