I am in-charge of human resources & administration department, supervise 1 administration officer, 2 clerks, 1 driver and 1 amah. Hand-on all rounds of HR & Admin matter in the company and site office, also as labour relation officer at site handling the matters in site with main contractor or sub-contractor. The project in Macau MGM foundation work was started on February 2013, SJM foundation work was started on February 2014 and City of Dream foundation work was started on April 2014, there was a great time for me to gain the experience in Macau labour law and handle the working permit for the permission of our staff stationed in Macau. Previous job was worked in Jackel Porter Co. Ltd. as Human Resources & Administration Manager, direct report to President. It is a distilled water manufacturing company under ISO, NSF and GMP, the company size is 145 staff including drivers, delivery crews, production, customer service, maintenance service and office staff. I am in-charge of HR & Admin department, hand-on all rounds of HR & Admin matters in the company and supervise 1 HR Officer, 1 HR & Admin Assistant, 1 IT Administrator and 1 Amah. My name is Annie, I am an associated member of Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources

My previous job work in Shanghai Tunnel (HK) Co. Ltd. as Human Resources Manager, direct report to General

General Manager. It is a laboratory of testing construction material under HOKLAS, I handled 54 staff of

personnel matters included recruitment, C&B and all matters of office and operation administration job included

central purchase, security & safety system . Due to the company restructure, General Manager, Accountant and

I were left the company at same time.

The job worked in Asia Container Terminals Ltd. as Human Resources Officer for two years which is a new

company, I was associated closely with my Manager in setting up the HR department and was involved in all HR

matter which are recruiting employees, payroll matter, tax return, MPF, policy set up staring from 44 staff

expanding to 123 staff in a year, since the company was fast expanding and needed to go into full swing in July

2005, one more HR officer was hired to concentrate on recruitment and training, and my job duties are mainly in

C&B.

In my past experience, most job responsibilities are below:

Responsible for preparing employment letter and giving an orientation to the new joiner, taking care of all their

personal matters in the company until their employment was terminated; hold exit interview and then send to the

line manager for further improvement or action to be taken.

Responsible for monthly payroll, calculate the overtime, shift allowance, checking and monitoring the

attendance record on each day and reported to the line manager every month. Management reports related to HR

such as headcount turnover report, HR expenses report, department charges report, O Chart are done by me

monthly. Medical & life insurance matters, enrollment, termination, changes and employee compensation case

handling are subject to need basis. Liaise with insurance agent for premium and terms annual renewal,

communicate with the MPF service provider and banker if and when necessary.

Since ACT is a new company, we have joined Hewitt for the salary survey and attend their seminar to update

more related HR knowledge, communicate with same industry’s HR people for sharing, and involved in

searching HRIS for the company such as IPL, HRM, MRC, Rebus, People soft, CiF, Cityray those professional

HRIS provider, unfortunately this was rejected by shareholder to save cost, shared with the mother company in

house software and did UAT status and modification to fit our company need.

Organizing company outing function like BBQ, cruise function, football match competition with other company,

birthday party, Christmas party, annual dinner, theses are also part of my duties.

Beside HR duties, I also assist Administration department in office management, a multi purpose room making a

leisure environment is done by me, started from furniture design, equipment souring, negotiating the price with

the supplier. I was a chairlady of safety committee in the company with valid green card and St John first aid

license; a company representative is a committee member in the group safety council in 2005-2006.

The achievement in ACT :

Grievance handling such as company policy or change in employee package is conveyed by me to the employee

in a positive manner so that they accept the change positively. I successfully persuaded and explained the pros

and cons in that change for the engineering staff to accept the new package, all of them are still working in the

company. A good communication with the employee is very important in my mind.

I gained a reward for Employee of month in May 2006 nominated by my colleagues who appreciated my attitude

and work in extra miles and made continuous improvement.

In 2006 insurance renewal, I had success in reducing 6% of annual premium, the coverage remaining unchanged

from the insurance company, I originated a body check up plan proposal for all staff using their saved money,

which was approved by management at the same time.

Continues 2 years of reduction in 2-3% of administration cost.

Set up a central purchase system and policy and run smoothly.

Organize with the contractor and Building Department to construct the factory

As a result of attitude test from a manager workshop, I am pre-dominantly a creative type person, emphasis on

shaping the environment by overcoming opposition to accomplish results. Excellent time management, work

independent, good leadership skill, self confident, self motivate and willing to learn is my strengthen as well.
