ABSTRACT The title of this research is “The Effectiveness of Writing Folder on Students’ Ability to Arrange Words into Complex Sentences”. The writer uses experimental method in conducting the research. First, the writer asks the students to bring folder when they are learning to arrange words into complex sentences. Second, the writer applies Writing Folder when he teaches complex sentences. Third, the writer calculates the data that he gets from the students. The students were divided into two groups: experimental group was taught by writing folder and control group was taught by think pair share. The result of Post-test is compared to the result of pre-test using t-test to find the effect of treatment on students’ writing test. The result of the data analysis shows that t- calculated is 0.14 while t table with the degree of freedom (d.f) is 52 in the level of significance 0.05 and in the level of significance 0.01 is 2.68 and 2.42. It shows that the value of t-test is lower than that of t-table. Based on the research result, there is no effect of writing folder on students’ ability to arrange words into complex sentences.
