Pastor’s Corner
A Church will never rise above
the level of her staff, whether it’s
in unity or effectiveness.
We are so blessed at HCBC with
an amazing, God-sent staff. July
marked two staff anniversaries;
Bill Hawks, 12 years and Jason
Easley, 6 years.
Can you imagine our church
without these men? I AM SO
THANKFUL!
Joel Richardson is in his 4th year
with us, Noah Bowlin is in his
2nd year and Lauren Hudson
begins her ministry here this
month. This is an amazing team.
I am honored to serve with them.
Let them know. JR
Highland Colony Home Connection ‘Bringing information and opportunities directly into your home’
August CalendarAugust CalendarAugust Calendar
a three-week worship focus beginning Sunday, August 7
Earlier this year we introduced Faith@Home and had our congregation complete a personal
appraisal of our faith efforts at home. This appraisal revealed that one of our greatest areas for
improvement for our church families is prayer among spouses and prayer with our children.
Join us for these 3 Sundays as we speak to the significance of prayer in the life of the believer,
the family, and the church. And…we will be providing some practical tools to help each family
take a step toward more effective Prayer@Home!
Life Groups Resume Sunday, August 7
To be an effective believer at Highland Colony we believe you
must come, CONNECT, serve and go.
Life Groups is our primary opportunity for you to become
connected. If you are not connected, now is the perfect time!
Drop by the Information table in the main Lobby on Sunday and let us you find a fit.
Wednesday night programming

NOW is the time to join the Highland
Colony Choir! We will resume our Fall
schedule Wednesday, August 3, at 6:15
in the worship center. At the latter
part of our rehearsal, we will make
our way to the choir room for the
2016 Worship Ministry Hall of
Fame induction celebration.
In addition to the exciting Fall season, we’re looking forward to presenting a
multi-generational Christmas Musical on December 11. In the past, we’ve
offered an adult musical on the first Sunday of December, and a children’s
musical the next week. This year we will combine and all sing together on
the second Sunday, from children, to students, to adults, to mature adults.
We already have a family committed to sing where four generations will be
represented! Remember, you do not need a great voice to sing in the choir.
You just need a song in your heart! COME JOIN NOW!!
