Thankyouall…My father passed away on 15th June. No regrets.

He was well respected, lived a fruitful life and had a dignified death. Because it was sudden we were shattered. Being the eldest in the family I assumed I had to be brave for my mother and brothers and I was unnaturally calm.I was always daddy's girl. It was only when I read messages by dear Rotarians and spoke to my IW friends I got my chance to grieve and come to terms. It was so soothing. Thank you all.

"Midtown inspires!!Midtown has been i n s p i r i n g m a n y individuals to excel in various fronts. We have seen many individuals growing i n p e r s o n a l & p r o f e s s i o n a l efforts, thanks to Midtown. Many,

who were recognized and felicitated by Midtown have gone on to national fame, individuals who joined Rotary found their strengths, while some found their new passions , others who trembled at the name of stage appearance went on to become leaders at district level. Why am I writing all this now?A simple case of how midtown provides a perfect platform was the recent installation. Young annettes were given the stage to showcase their talents, and what a splendid way they responded. The little brats stole the show with their immaculate performances. As a part of the program, my daughter was asked to introduce the 2 most important people on the guest list, the installing officer and the assistant governor. I initially had a faint doubt whether Saanvi would do justice to the role given. It was a great feeling to see how she took up the task and delivered the introductions. She did mention that she had stage fear as this was her first official verbal task onstage, but guess what after the program she is now a confident girl. Having changed schools recently, she is now at St.Joseph's Central School. The annual class debate was announced and Saanvi participated in the debate with so much confidence that she stood second speaking against the topic. The energy and the compel came from the debut at Midtown. Well, Midtown truly inspires. Thanks midtown for providing the platform.

-Rtn.Rakesh
