ABOUT DEVFEST

DevFest is a great opportunity to learn more about Google technologies and developer products. The

events also give one a chance to meet developer advocates and engineers who work on these products

and ask them any questions one might have.

GDG Jalandharis hosting Punjabs first ever developer conference named "DevFest". The conference

aims at bringing together Google technology enthusiasts of all experience levels, from new users to core

developers. DevFests are organized by Google and Supported by Google Developer Group.

"DevFest" provides a platform for companies who are looking for developers to interact with and get

involved with the developer community of Google as well as a great chance to connect with so many

talented developers will join us from around the world. The conference will consist of cool and vivacious

events and will concentrate on "Everyday Google" and will contain talks and discussions by developers

on Google technologies used in everyday life like Android, Chrome etc. Technologies like HTML 5,

Google App Engine, Electronic devices using Android etc. will also be discussed by core developers

already working or interested in working with Google APIs. The focus of the conference is materializing

an integrated community of developers making it easy for everyone to reach out and help each other in

their future endeavors.

Google Developers Group (GDG) is a worldwide organization that provides a platform for

people who are interested in Google's developer technology and want to interact on a local level. They

are spread over 94 countries with a total of 337 subchapters. Google Developers Group - Jalandhar is

one such subchapter of GDG located in Jalandhar. It aims to provide an opportunity for developers to

learn and collaborate with each other and experts on the subject.

Proposal for DevFest- Jalandhar promotions/participation

Respected Sir/Madam

This is to request/propose for the participation of your college in Devfest Jalandhar 2012 being

organized by GDG (Google Developers Group) Jalandhar. The event is being organized in Hotel Ramada

on 23rd Sept, 2012 from 9am - 5pm.This is really going to be a great opportunity for the students to

witness newest and exciting technologies. Also get an opportunity to interact with global developers and

eminent personalities.

The fee for the registration is Rs.150 only (Inclusive of Entry fee, Lunch/Snacks)

We would like you to send in few good and enthusiastic and students for this frivolous event.Also please select a student as Ambassador Devfest and share his/her details with us.

The Ambassador will be the sole point of contact in your college and will do the registration and

promotion. All the promotional material (posters/passes)will be handed over to the Ambassador.

The registration will be closed by 18 September 2012.

Lot many exciting things to be explored by the participants on the day of event.
