Property and Buildings– avoiding legal pitfalls Most charities make use of buildings, either foradministrative purposes or in order to carry out theiroperations. Property brings with it a complexnetwork of legal relationships with other owners,funders, and users, and if these relationships are notcorrectly managed this can result in unnecessaryclaims, penalties and tax liabilities. This session looksat the main areas of risk for trustees and executivesin relation to the property that they use, manage oroccupy with guidance on how to manage those risks.
