About The CaGBC Greater Toronto Chapter

WHO ARE WE? The Canada Green Building Council - Greater Toronto Chapter (CaGBC-GTC) is southern Ontario’s leading authority on green building best practices. With a network of over 3,000 green building professionals, we are your premier source for education, training, leading edge green building information and resources. The commitment and participation of organizations like yours is crucial for the continual advancement of environmentally responsible design, construction and operations throughout our region.

WHAT DO WE DO? We connect people. The CaGBC-GTC hosts at least three major networking events a year bringing together building leaders, professionals and supporters. We facilitate learning. The CaGBC-GTC is the leading provider of LEED education and green building workshops in southern Ontario. This past year, the Chapter introduced the Green Professional Skills Training Program (GPRO) for the trades and delivered close to 60 educational programs, workshops, lunch ‘n learns, tours and webinars, training over 1,400 new and current green building professionals. We drive change. We work with both government and private enterprise to accelerate the adoption of green building principles, policies, standards and tools. This includes our Ontario Green Building Map and Ontario Green Policy Hub resources. Our membership is made up of leaders in the building community: planners, architects, engineers, construction professionals and many more from government, the private sector, and NGOs. We regularly host networking and education events that engage and connect our members with current issues facing our growing movement. What used to be an organization supported mostly by design professionals has now expanded to include the entire building industry, including product suppliers, tradespeople and contractors – those who are building the infrastructure of tomorrow. Our goal is to partner with leading organizations and companies that recognize the urgency of our mandate and want to achieve a direct impact on the way we build, through collaboration and great relationships.

As a sponsor of the CaGBC-GTC you will be supporting our goal to make Every Building Greener. We believe that we must look beyond new buildings to the existing building stock, and beyond individual buildings to neighbourhood and community solutions. Together, we can take even more significant steps toward creating long term sustainable solutions for Canadian cities. As a committed partner, once you have made your selection(s), please complete the interactive PDF form on the last page of this document. Additionally, you may be interested in general Chapter sponsorship which comes at various levels and has extensive benefits and exposure to our network. Our sponsorship kit outlines these categories and options in detail.

With the wide variety of options available to your organization, we hope you will recognize the value of partnering with the CaGBC-GTC. Thank you in advance for your consideration and support.
