Peak Imaging is a totally independent photographic laboratory housing a wealth of

craftsmanship and experience in both lm and digital media. The average service time of

our staff force is currently an amazing 21 years, so you can appreciate our dedication and

passion towards the wonderful world of photography, art and display. We will work with

you, the photographer (be you professional or amateur), to achieve exactly the result you

are looking for.

The range of our products and services is vast but clearly detailed and priced in this fully

illustrated guide. Our development team is also working very hard to create new products

and ideas in order for you to show off your work to the world, so please keep a watch on

our website for new arrivals. If you have an idea of your own in mind or need some advice

on a particular project, please give us a call.

We're processing lm all day, ve days a week through C41, E6 and B&W chemistry,

producing CDs, products and prints from the images. Our processing machines are

maintained to the highest standard and our chemistry kept on aim by auto-replenishment

with Fuji Oasis Pro densitometry.

Peak Imaging is also highly respected in the eld of print-fullment and we have the

procedures in place to despatch prints and products direct to your customers in the UK

and abroad.

CD, DVD, memory card and ash USB

drives. Unless specically requested,

original CD’s / DVD’s will only be returned

where postal weight and size

restrictions allow.

C-Type Prints from Digital Media

Prints up to and including 12 x 10 are packed at, larger prints will be rolled and suppliedin a postal tube. Print sizes up to 30 x 20 can be supplied at at an additional cost of £8.05

We print on a variety of professional C-Type papers. Images are exposed to the light sensitive paper and chemically

processed, producing a print of unsurpassed image stability.

Gloss

Fuji Crystal Archive DP II Gloss is a smooth and glossy paper, which accentuates the colour to give a punchy, rich

feel, with intense highlight and shadow depth qualities. Ideal for high impact images, commercial and promotional

photography.

Satin Matt

Fuji Crystal Archive DP II Satin Matt paper is coated with a ne stippled nish and produces a very natural

photographic result with subtle colour. Ideal for weddings, portraiture, exhibition, display and framed prints. Easy to

handle with a high tolerance to nger prints.

Metallic

Kodak Endura Metallic has a glossy, chrome, almost 3D appearance which accentuates images with visual interest

and depth, in addition to delivering vibrant colours and attering esh tones. Prices are the same as standard prints

plus 50%.

Fujiex

Fuji Crystal Archive Fujiex is a high gloss paper producing bright, sharp and colourful display prints with huge

impact. A durable polyester based print material, with a similar look and feel to

Cibachrome prints, with a warm white base colour giving vividly rich colours.

Film Speed Changes

For the best result you should always use

the manufacturer’s recommended speed

rating. We can however, up-rate E6 lm

by up to 3 stops or down-rate by a

maximum of 1 stop. C41 lm can be up-

rated by 1.5 stops or down-rated by 1

stop. Add £1.25 extra per lm.

Cross Processing

Create interesting and unpredictable

colour shifts with increased contrast. E6

through C41 or C41 through E6. B&W

lm cannot be cross processed. Add

£1.25 extra per lm.

Clip Test

A section of lm is processed to

determine optimum development for the

remainder of the exposures. Four frames

are lost during this process. Add £2.15

extra per lm.

Ordering

The lm type and any special instructions

must be clearly marked on your order and

on the outside of the container. This is of

particular importance when using sheet

lm or reloadable cassettes. When lm is

cut from bulk stock please make sure that

the lm is cut to the exact length or

shorter as over-long lm can foul the

automatic machinery.

Film processing, printing and CD’s from old formats / emulsions. Much old lm, if stored in

dry, temperate conditions can still yield good results and although there are no guarantees,

we’ll do our very best to rescue images from that long forgotten lm.

We can process the following lms in their natural mode of colour or b&w. Prices include lm processing. Prints are

produced on gloss paper to their relative format of 5"x 3.5" or 5"x 5". Images on CD are saved in JPG format.

Photographic Reprints from Film (C-Type)

Post and packaging £3.95 per orderBlack and white prints are produced digitally using colour paper

Professional archive quality true photographic prints with exceptional colour stability, produced from your colour

negative, transparency or black and white original.

Selective enlargements are available with the ability to selectively enlarge and crop your image to the standard

sizes shown below, an extra charge (Sel.) is applied to the rst print of each original selective enlargement.

Custom made prints to your specic instructions allow for cropping, density, colour and contrast corrections. An

extra charge (Cus.) is applied for the rst print of each original image. Non-standard print sizes are charged at the

next size up.

Prints are available on gloss or satin matt paper at the prices listed below, but are also available on Metallic paper

(50% extra) or Fujiex (75% extra). Detailed instructions should be included with your order if you require a selective

or custom made print. A print mask allowance of 1-2mm on all sides should be allowed for when ordering.

Mounting & Print Finishing

All mounted work 20 x 16 or above or weighing over 2kg in weight will beshipped by courier (£12.00). Multiple print orders may incur an extra charge

Prints can be mounted on a range of substrates, ready for you to frame or display. Due to

ush trimming all mounted work will be slightly under the sizes stated. Prices are in

addition to the cost of the print.

Card High-quaility card, ideal for framing.

Foamboard (F/b) Very light foam-centered board.

Window mounts are available in white, off-white, ivory, cream or black. Where a window mount is preferred, the sizes

Sending lms / originals in post

Where possible, please use the supplied order forms and provide detailed instructions that cannot be misinterpreted.

The order form can be downloaded from our website www.peak-imaging.com. Please quote your customer number if

known and, in the event that we need to contact you regarding your order, include at least one telephone number and

email address. Film orders can also be placed via our website and in this instance, detailed instructions should be

included within the “Instructions and Requirements” eld or on a separate email. The placing of an order conrms

your acceptance of our Terms of Business clearly detailed on page 26.

Postage & Packaging

We charge a nominal £3.95 per order (£2.00 for a single process only lm - cut into strips) to help cover the cost of

First Class return postage and packaging within the UK. Heavy and bulky items, weighing over 2kg, must be

dispatched by Courier and will incur an additional charge of £8.05. For mounted / framed prints, please see the

relevant page for the courier charge. We will, at your request dispatch orders via Special Delivery or independent

carrier. Charges will be made at cost. Please remember we are acting on your behalf and our terms and conditions

apply. We cannot be held liable for any loss, damage or delay to your work which might be caused by Royal Mail or

Courier.

All prints up to and including 12"x 10" will normally be packed at, larger prints will be rolled and supplied in a postal

tube (£3.95). Print sizes up to 30"x 20" can be packed at at an additional charge of £8.05 per order.

Unless specically requested, original CD’s and DVD’s will only be returned where postal weight and size

restrictions allow.

Payment

UK Customers - Payment may be made by credit or debit card (please do not include cash) and details should be

included with your order.

Overseas Customers - Payment may be made by credit card and details should be included with your order. An

Display Calibration

If you wish to have full control over your digital work ow, we strongly recommend calibrating your display to our

printing system. We have a comprehensive guide available on our website www.peak-imaging.com.

Print Sizes

Sizes shown are in inches and may be fractionally under or over the sizes quoted. All prints (excluding some from

digital media and panoramic prints) are trimmed borderless.

Black & White prints

All black and white prints are produced using colour paper. When ordering prints from black and white negatives,

please use the negative number as a reference.

Prints from Film

Certain lm formats are incompatible with standard industry sizes (eg. 35mm to 10"x 8" incurs substantial cropping).

Please select a compatible print size or allow for this when ordering.

When referring to a frame please use the number most central to the frame.

Please ensure that 35mm glass mounted slides submitted for printing are clean on the inside as we cannot

dismantle slides.

Colour photography is a subjective medium. If you require us to match to a previous order, please include a sample

print. Note however, that due to paper batch variations and the limitations of the dyes used in the photographic

process it is not always possible to guarantee an exact colour match of guide / sample prints. In the absence of

specic written instructions we will use our own judgement aiming for a broadly neutral print.

Giclée Prints

By their very nature, the ne art and photo papers we use occasionally have very small aws and as such we cannot

guarantee prints will be 100% aw free in all cases.

Liability

It is impossible for the Company to assess the value of originals and unprocessed lm supplied by the customer and

the charges made for our services do not reect or incorporate unlimited liability. Customers should insure work of a

special value and advise us accordingly. All orders for processing and printing are accepted on the basis that their

value does not exceed the cost of equivalent new unprocessed material. In the unlikely event of loss or damage,

whether caused by negligence or otherwise, liability is limited to the cost of an equivalent amount of unexposed lm

and refund of any processing charges paid.

Copyright

Orders placed for reproduction of photographs etc., are accepted on the strict understanding that the customer holds

the copyright. The customer must assume liability for any resulting action brought about by a third party.

Acceptance

Orders are accepted on the understanding that the following terms of business shall be binding between the customer and Peak Imaging

(the Company). Any variation of these terms, which cancel all previous terms of business, must be agreed in writing and signed by a

director of the Company.

Orders

Orders placed by the customer must be in writing. Any amendments to orders must be in writing. In the absence of written instructions

the Company will complete work in accordance with its own understanding of the customer’s requirements. The customer must notify the

Company in writing within 7 days of delivery of any dissatisfaction with the service or product provided.

Payment

Payment must be supplied with each order. Payment may be made by credit card, debit card. We charge a nominal £3.95 per order

(£2.00 for a single process only lm - cut into strips) to cover the cost of First Class return postage and packaging within the UK. Heavy

and bulky items such as mounted prints will incur an additional charge of £8.05. All prices are shown in pounds sterling and are inclusive

of VAT. Prices are subject to change without notice, although every effort will be made to notify customers of any such change in

advance. We can only accept credit card payments from overseas customers and an additional charge of £6.05 will be made to cover

the cost of extra packaging and return Airmail.

Copyright

It is a criminal offence under the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 to knowingly infringe copyright and it is the customer’s

responsibility to ensure that all material supplied to the Company for processing, copying or reproduction is free from any third party claim

of infringement.

Orders are only accepted on the clear understanding that:

1. The customer owns the copyright or that the work is out of copyright.

2. The customer has the copyright owner’s written consent. In this case the written consent must accompany the order and

work supplied.

3. The customer indemnies the Company against all costs, claims, damages and losses of whatsoever nature arising from any

action or claim brought by a third party in respect of alleged infringement of copyright.

Liability

It is impossible for the Company to assess the value of originals and unprocessed lm supplied by the customer and the charges made

for our services do not reect or incorporate unlimited liability. Whilst every reasonable care will be taken with customer’s property

(including originals) and lm accepted for processing, the Company’s liability for any loss or damage, whether caused by negligence or

otherwise, is limited in the case of any one transaction to the replacement value of any such materials supplied by the customer, such

material being accepted only on the clear understanding that their replacement value does not exceed the current retail price of

equivalent new materials. Furthermore, the Company shall not be liable in any circumstances for consequential loss, special damages or

other indirect loss, however caused. The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage once materials are in transit by a third

party, be it Royal Mail or Courier.

Insurance

When original materials supplied to us are deemed by the customer to be of extremely high value, this fact must be declared to the

Company in writing prior to any work being undertaken. We recommend in all such cases that extra insurance be taken out by the

customer to cover the value involved. Any claim against the Company for any consequential loss or damage arising from the above shall

be limited to a value not exceeding £50.00. The Company cannot accept liability in excess of that stated and any further loss will be

deemed to be the responsibility of the customer and to result from his or her failure to effect adequate insurance cover. We strongly

recommend the use of Special Delivery for items of high value.

Law & Statutory Rights

The contract between the customer and the Company will be subject to English law. The customer’s statutory rights are not infringed by

these terms.
