About Massport

The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) is anindependent public authority in the Commonwealth ofMassachusetts that is governed by a seven member Board.Massport is financially self-sustaining and contributes to theregional economy through the operation of three airports—Boston Logan International Airport, Hanscom Field andWorcester Regional Airport; the Port of Boston’s cargo andcruise facilities; and property management/real estatedevelopment in Boston. Massport’s mission is to connectMassachusetts and New England to the world, safely, securelyand efficiently, never forgetting our commitment to ourneighbors who live and work around our ports and facilities.

Boston Logan International AirportBoston Logan International Airport (BOS) isNew England’s largest transportation center

and an economic engine that generates $13.3 billion ineconomic activity each year. It is a city within a city on a 1,700-acre footprint of land with a fire department, police department,power plant, two hotels, and 27 acres of landscaping along theroadways and terminals. Logan has four passenger terminals,each with its own ticketing, baggage claim, and groundtransportation facilities, that are connected to the centralparking garage by a walkway system.

The aviation market at Logan Airport continues to exhibit stronggrowth due to a healthy local economy, robust airline industryand expanding service. As the 4th fastest growing large USairport, Logan had almost 20 million enplanements in 2017,around 6% more than the previous year. Logan currentlyserves a record 130 non-stop destinations in North America,Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Central America, and SouthAmerica. Non-stop international destinations have more thandoubled in the past 10 years, up from 26 in 2006.

Hanscom FieldHanscom Field is a full-service generalaviation airport and popular choice forbusiness executives for convenient access

to key hubs in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Located in Bedford, Massachusetts, Hanscom Field servesas an access point to the City of Boston, which is about 20miles northwest, and to “America’s Technology Region”situated along the Route 128/95 and Route 495/3corridors. Hanscom plays a critical role as a corporatereliever for Boston Logan International Airport.

Worcester Regional AirportConveniently located in the heart ofCentral Massachusetts, WorcesterRegional Airport's amenities include a

$15.7 million passenger terminal and over $12 millionworth of airside improvements such as lighting systems,navigational aids and a new control tower.

Worcester is New England’s second largest city andWorcester County is the second fastest growing county inMassachusetts, along with the Boston Metro West regionand the bustling Interstate 495 corridor. Worcester Airportfeatures four jet way gates, two ramp level gates, baggagecarousels, TSA passenger and baggage screeningsystems and extensive general aviation services andamenities including a fixed-base operator. WorcesterAirport continues to grow and offer new service, providingpassengers increased access to additional business andleisure markets.

Port of BostonMassport carries on New England's proudtradition as a world trade leader byoffering regular shipping service to

Europe, Asia and elsewhere. Boston’s is the oldestcontinually active major port in the Western Hemisphere.The Port of Boston has been a vital transportation andeconomic resource for New England since Boston’sfounding in 1630.

High-tech queuing gates and a major terminal expansionprogram help make the region's businesses even morecompetitive in global markets by speeding cargo to its finaldestination and efficiently connecting New Englandproducts with more than 100 international ports. ConleyTerminal processed more than 270,000 TEUs (Twenty-footEquivalent Units) in 2017, its 3rd consecutive record yearfor volume. The Boston Harbor Maintenance DredgingProject was completed in late 2017 to maintain theChelsea Creek and the Mystic River, and the HarborImprovement/Deepening project is expected to begin in2018 to prepare Conley Terminal to accommodate thelarger cargo ships that are already calling there.

The Position

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of

Massport, the Chief Information Officer

establishes Information Technology (IT) strategy,

organization and structure throughout the Authority

to provide efficient, robust and secure information,

telecommunications and security systems for

employees and stakeholders, using Massport’s

facilities and systems.

The Chief Information Officer:

• Creates a clear strategic vision for IT that supportsbusiness objectives and can execute on thatvision.

• Establishes the mission of the IT organization tofoster a business and customer-oriented cultureand mindset.

• Demonstrates ability to build trust with othersthrough a commitment to the highest ethical andprofessional standards.

• Serves as a trusted advisor, building andmaintaining relationships with other executives andbusiness unit leaders to develop a clearunderstanding of business needs.

• Ensures cost-effective and innovative delivery of ITservices to meet those needs.

• Collaborates with executive leadership andbusiness partners to define and execute the digitalbusiness strategy.

Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or

Computer Science or equivalent professional

experience and 10-15 years of executive-level

technical, management, and supervisory experience

is required. An advanced degree in a related field,

such as computer science, business (MBA) and/or

engineering is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $220,000 and includes an attractivebenefits package.
