    KaleidoscopeMusArt is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promotingclassical music as a relevant and evolving art form, through innovative concert programsand educational initiatives that explore links between new, rarely-heard, and well-knownworks while prominently featuring emerging artists and living composers.

    Our goals are to:

    Kaleidoscope MusArt was born out of the necessity of making contemporary piano musican integral part of the classical concert experience. Our distinctive approach toprogramming draws connections between the standard and contemporary repertoire inthematic concerts, exploring a spectrum of stylistic and aesthetic perspectives. Theformat of our concerts incorporates brief presentations about the works performed,catalyzing a stronger connection between the audience and the music. By engagingyoung artists to perform new and rarely-heard works we aim to stimulate theircontinuous curiosity and active advocacy for the contemporary repertoire.

    Audrey Liang has playedpiano for two years, and sheis currently studying withDr. Akina Yura. She lovesmusic and enjoys the feelingof expressing herselfthrough piano playing. Shealso likes to compose herown music.

    Dr. Akina Yura as his piano teacher. She helped himimprove his playing skills faster than John thought he evercould. John worked a lot on his pieces over the past fewweeks. He is very excited to share them with you and hehopes you enjoy them!

    Christopher Yang is 9 yearsold and is a fourth grader atDoral Academy Elementary.He began playing piano at theage of five and is currentlystudying with Dr. Redi Llupa.His favorite composers areJohann Sebastian Bach andFrederic Chopin.

    Jonathan Samuel Hus

    Jonathan Samuel Hus iscurrently a 9th grade honorsstudent at the Donna KleinJewish Academy. He has beenstudying piano with Soo JungKwon for almost four years.He loves to perform for hisfamily and friends. Jonathanhas been awarded Superior

    rating by the National Federation Piano Festival. He alsoenjoys reading, building and coding for roboticscompetitions, and traveling. Jonathan loves to practiceand improve his technique as he advances with hispiano studies and hopes to participate in intensivesummer piano workshops in the future.

    Besides music, Christopher likes coding, playing videogames, and reading. His favorite books are Harry Potterand The Warriors series.

    Bryce Meacham is 13 yearsold and in the 8th grade atNorth Broward PreparatorySchool. He started to learnthe basics of piano at the ageof three and has made greatprogress under the guidanceof Soo Jung Kwon in the pastthree years. Bryce placedthird at the Pompano Beach

    Children In the Arts piano competition in 2019, has earneda Superior With Distinction award at North Broward PrepSolo/Ensemble Adjudication, has performed at theSteinway Gallery with Soo Jung Kwon, and at the NordAnglia Fine Arts Festival. Bryce was proud to have earneda place at Bak Middle School of the Arts for piano. Atschool Bryce is a member of the National Junior HonorSociety, National Spanish Honor Society, Tri-M MusicHonor Society, and the Samaritans 365 Club. Throughthese organizations he is proud to have raised funds andawareness for SOS Children’s Village. In addition to hisinterest in music, he is a member of the Boca Mantas swimteam, a certified SCUBA diver, and has run more thantwenty 5K races for charity. He is active in his churchyouth group and a member of the Boca Raton InterfaithYouth Association, and spent this summer volunteeringwith Meals With Meaning, a project serving the homelessand food insecure residents in his area. He also enjoysroad-tripping with his family—Bryce has visited everystate in the US except for Alaska and Hawaii and hopes toadd them soon!

    Paul Wubbena is 12 yearsold and a 7th grader fromCape Canaveral, Florida.He has been studyingpiano for over seven yearsunder the guidance ofMara Lauzums. Paul hasattended the University ofMiami’s Frost School ofMusic's Young Muscians'

    Camp for four summers. He recently began studyingperformance, theory, and musicianship at the FrostSchool of Music Preparatory program with Dr. InesaGegprifti and Dr. Catalina von Wrangell. In the springof 2019, Paul participated in his first KaleidoscopeMusArt Young Talents Showcase Concert andMasterclass. In the summer of 2020, Paul earned firstplace in the solo category for ages 12-15 at the FloridaSacred Music Competition. Over the years, Paul hasearned places in FSMTA honors recitals and hasparticipated in other state competitive and non-competitive events. He is working towards his goal ofthe 90-point Federation cup and has earned honors atFSMTA’s Student Day for the last four years. At the ageof six, Paul accepted the 100-Day Challenge from PianoExplorer magazine. In October of 2020, Paul reached2,600 days in a row! He is still counting!

He is also arecipient of numerous certifications and awards fromthe National Federation of Music Clubs and Miami MusicTeachers Foundation. Notable past performances includesoloing in Joseph Haydn's D major Piano Concert withthe Civic Orchestra of Coral Gables at the First UnitedMethodist Church in 2016 and participating in a livebroadcast with the GMYS Jazz Band in 2017 at the WDNA88.9 Jazz Radio Station. Daniel is a Life Scout in Troop811 in Miami, FL.

    Natalia Solano is astudent at CarrolltonSchool of the SacredHeart and has beenplaying piano for eightyears. She is currentlystudying piano withYianni Iliadis. Nataliaenjoys playing lyricalpieces and those fromthe Romantic era, and

    the Romantic era, and her favorite composer isFrédéric Chopin. Although she does not usually playcontemporary compositions, she thoroughly enjoyedworking on Alexander Timofeev’s piece, "Helen," andwishes to learn more pieces from his ValentineAlbum for Piano, Op. 4. Aside from music, Nataliaalso participates in sports and theater activities. In2021, Natalia will be graduating high school, and shehopes to continue playing the piano in the comingyears.

    John Sebastian PhillipsKyle Lam

    Kyle Lam is a classicallytrained musician born inMiami, Florida. At the ageof six, he began his musicaleducation in piano andpicked up the violin soonafter. Throughout his earlylife, he has studied a varietyof instruments includingclarinet and guitar.

    Kyle currently attends Coral Reef Senior High, where healso plays the violin in the school's orchestra. Since 2014,Kyle has attended the Superior Academy of Music,where he studied for 2 years with Dr. WilliamVillaverde. Since 2016, Kyle has been studying with Dr.Redi Llupa and he has passed levels 7 and 8 of the RoyalConservatory of Music examination with First ClassHonors. In addition, Kyle has performed in KaleidoscopeMusArt concerts and events previously, and isfrequently performing at venues throughout the Miami-Dade community. Moreover, he has volunteered atseveral music summer camps and has mentored youngmusicians in piano and musical performance.

    the Costa Rica Piano Festival Orchestra conducted byMaestro Alejandro Gutiérrez, playing the thirdmovement of Mozart's Piano Concerto in D Minor, K.466, as well as original cadenzas he composed for theoccasion. At the age of 15, John participated in theInterharmony International Music Festival in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Germany, where press coverage of his solorecital performance acclaimed his “successfulinterpretation” of Beethoven’s “Pathètique” Sonata No.8 in C minor, Op. 13 (second and third movements). In2020, John participated in a Virtual Young ArtistSeminar with the Rocky Ridge Music Center in Colorado.In 2018, John also attended the Piano Institute andAdvanced Piano Program at Interlochen Arts Academyin Michigan.
