Jaipur National University (JNU), Jaipur came into existence in the year 2007. Two professional institutes of Seedling Group setup in 2002, with several technical & professional programmes of studies, were merged with the University to form a major part of the University. In 2008 University was visited by an expert panel of UGC members which accorded approval to our programmes under clause 2(f) of the UGC ACT, 1956. The programmes which were already running, at the time of establishment of the University were Engineering & Technology, Life Sciences (Biotechnology / Microbiology / Bio-Chemistry), Pharmaceutical Sciences, Computer Sciences, Hotel Management and Education, and these programmes are well established since 2002.

Besides these programmes, the University is now offering UG, PG, UG-PG Integrated, Dual Degree, M.Phil, Ph.D., and Diploma Programs in other disciplines.

With the opening of the 'School of Distance Education & Learning', JNU has taken education to the doorsteps of those aspirants who, for some reason, could not be a part of the regular stream of education.

Located in Jagatpura, Jaipur-Agra Highway, the University Campus is aesthetically designed on an area of more than 150 Acres. With the Aravallis on one side and sprawling green fields on the other, JNU presents a perfect picture of the vision of a University given by Gurudev Tagore.
