About Department: The department was accredited by National Board of Accreditation for three years from

15/03/2012 to 15/3/2015. The department of Industrial Electronics established in the year 1983.

The intake of the department is 60 in the First Shift & 60 in the Second Shift. Industrial

Electronics deals with the four major specializations-

Electronics- It deals with the semiconductor devices and circuits for the processing of information at low power levels.

Power electronics - It deals with the use of electronics for the control and conversion of large amount of electronic power.

Controls- It deals with the stability and response characteristics of close loop system using feedback on either a continuous or sampled databases. Automation- it deals with use of processors and controllers in the modern industry.

Programs Organized:

Induction Training Program - Phase II

Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Technology, Navi Mumbai organized Induction Training

Program Phase II, from 6th June to 17th June, 2016 that was sponsored by Maharashtra State

Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) and conducted by National Institute of Technical

Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) – Bhopal. Mrs. Kavita Kakade of this department

was the coordinator of this programme.

Thirty three delegates (teaching faculty) from various colleges of Maharashtra

participated in this program. The program was inaugurated by Shri. V.D.Vaidya, Deputy

Secretary, MSBTE on 6th June 2016. Classes were conducted by experts from NITTTR Dr.

Aashish Deshpande and Dr. Anil Kumar on Syllabus Framing and Setting up of Question Papers,

conducting a quiz on the core subjects etc. and by Dr. Alan S. Rocha Professor and Head

Coordinator NITTTR, Bhopal on Leadership Quality, Personality Development and Students

Counseling The valedictory function was graced by Dr. Vinod M. Mohitkar, Honorable Secretary,

MSBTE on 17th June 2016. All the participants were awarded with certificates and CD of

Induction training Program.

Celebration of “70th Independence Day”

“YAAD KARO QURBANI”

Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Technology, Navi Mumbai celebrated “70th Independence

Day” with the slogan “YAAD KARO QURBANI” on 23rd August, 2016. Lecturers and students from this departments participated in this cultural event. The students of BVIT participated

enthusiastically in various events like solo singing, group singing, elocution, stage skit and poster

painting competitions.

Tree Plantation Program

Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Technology organized

Tree Plantation program on 4th July, 2016 in the

premises of BVIT. Principal, BVIT Shri P.N. Tandon,

Vice Principal Shri A.C. Patil and Principal, BVCOE

Shri Shaikh and all the students and staff members

participated in the program. About 25 trees were

planted during the day. The students of this department

enthusiastically participated in the programme.
