3. Shower Floor: Shower floor shall be of the Precast Terrazzo type as

inches high inside, and not less than three inches wide. Rabbets shall be
1/8” wider than slabs used and shall be not less than 1” deep. Inside
shoulder of rabbet shall be lower than outside shoulder. Drain body
shall be of stainless steel, cast integral, and shall provide for a
connection not less than one-inch deep to a two-inch pipe. Removable
type strainer plate. Terrazzo shall be made of marble chips cast in white
portland cement to produce a compressive strength of not less than
3000 P.S.I. seven days after casting. Terrazzo surface shall be ground
and polished with all air holes and/or pits to be grouted and excess
removed. Terrazzo floors shall conform to federal specification WW-P-
541 requirements.”
