7.1 Market Report - (Martin)

ABBTA Market Report October 25th 2015 Fine and warm spring day, some cloud approx. 200-300 attendees. Low numbers suspected due to several other events on at same time. Raffle: none BBQ: none 16 Stallholders, 12 inside, 4 outside: Cash received: $305 <— banking Online: $40 (Including Angela to pay $20 online) Total: $345 One stallholder (David’s Welsh Delicacies) hired generator Hall hire: $50 Petrol for Generator: $6.94 + $7.23 = $14.17 Notes:

** Power cables left uncovered - trip hazard - need a safety checklist? ** Two buskers didn’t turn up Thermomix advised refused entry to FAF. Slow day but good community spirit. Table set up inside Hall was used by public and stall holders to discuss, drink coffee. If space, in future consider repeating this. Martin only person who ran the market. This is too much work for one person and a stall holder meeting is being scheduled to find volunteers, ascertain time for Christmas market and outline roadmap for development of the Aldinga Bay market up to TDU and beyond to Aldinga District Town Square. David Downs brought music.

8.1 Members help with forthcoming ABBTA market (September 27th). Who can assist with the raffle? Will there be a BBQ? Martin to contact staff holders for raffle. Otherwise Martin will buy the premade raffle basket. 8.2 Update on membership renewals. 8.3 Motion (Hazel): Proposed Ratification of “Aldinga Shores Retirement village sausage sizzle”. Toff passed. Jess Seconded. Carried. Passed motion that they become members in order to qualify for support.

9. Other Business

9.1 Toff West (including FAF advertising). Fee may be required by APRA for playing films. 9.2 Aldinga Bay Theatre Group Initiative. Ongoing. 9.3 TDU Planning. Ongoing. 9.4 Grants, Godfather Galilee Appearance (Including Motion), Civic Signs. Parent (Sam Billings) approached Aldinga public school for a defibrillator to be installed – Jess, as governing chair of school, has forwarded on to ABTA as possible contributor. The philosophy of the school is to raise funds that benefits most of the students, defibrillator for example offers only for a rare case conditions and hence are unable to fund. Martin to consult Hazel, write letter. 9.5 Business Awards. Ongoing. 9.6 Phil Black discussed Coastal Skydive at length. Committee proposed suggestions for promotion. Martin to write re. their obtaining an ABBTA membership. Alex to send brochures for Toff to place in HGB.

Corrie Foote, Gavin. Setting up Local Aldinga Jobs Facebook - specific postcodes. Jess saying it is active but closed group. Jess and Debbie to start up working group. Martin – several initiatives undertaken recently. Ongoing with preliminary work.

20 Hazel to contact council and see about office space in VOLT being given to ABBTA for office, possible multi-use, possible storage for our equipment, etc.

KEEP LOOKING for alternative location. Assistant offering 20hrs per week. Toff may offer some space for desk. Martin to contact Ash and get back to Toff.

21 Hazel to look into stall at Friends of Sellicks for Networking Date: is Nov. 1st LAUNCH

ABBTA (Martin & Hazel) attended and networked with them.

22 Separate sub-account ‘Down

Town Aldinga’ in ABBTA (Bendigo Bank) bank account with 4 signatories to be created. Treasurer: Janet Freeman, Market Coordinator: Elise Cook, with Jess Sweet, Hazel Wainright. Card issued to Market Coordinator.

Defibrillator arrived - planned to deliver tomorrow. Complete. Next step to present, take photos & promote.
