Christmas in the Classroom

Grade One-derful ADecember 2017 Mrs. Weaver

This month we will be focusing on activities in a Christmas setting. We’ll be playing with Math and Literacy Centres that will progress our math and reading skills. We will be writing Christmas stories, and making Christmas Art. We’ll be reading many Christmas stories. Our author of the month is Jan Brett, and you could look up her website at janbrett.com and learn more about her wonderful books, full of detailed illustrations and memorable stories.

For the next three weeks you will see Christmas celebrations happening in our classroom! We will be hearing all about how your family celebrates Christmas! Hopefully we’ll have a few treats to enjoy, or crafts to make, and wonderful stories to share. We look forward to seeing you!
