2. Rock. The gentleman rocks back on his r i g h t foot. The lady rocks forward on her l e f t foot. This position i s held f o r the three counts of the measure.

3-4. The couple waltzes 2 regular waltz steps. The gentleman st a r t s these waltz steps forward on his l e f t foot.

5-16, Measures 1-4 are repeated 3 more times.

PART I I

17. The gentleman crosses his l e f t foot over the r i g h t , p u t t i n g his weight on his l e f t foot. At the same time, the lady crosses her r i g h t foot over the l e f t , putting her weight on the r i g h t foot. This step i s made a l i t t l e easier i f the gentleman pivots s l i g h t l y on the b a l l of his r i g h t foot, and the lady pivots s l i g h t l y on the b a l l of her l e f t f o o t , as the crossover i s taken.
