AASM was founded on the premise to develop the continental sport management area of discipline and hold similar principle to her counterparts in Europe

(EASM), North America (NASSM) and Oceania (SMAANZ) and together form the International Alliance of Sport Management.

THE CONFERENCE

The 6th Asian Association of Sports Management

Conference Kuala Lumpur 2010 is the sixth in the

series of annual conferences organized by the Asian

Association for Sport Management [AASM].

It was first held bi-annually in South Korea in 2002,

China in 2004, Japan in 2006 and Thailand in 2008.

Beginning 2008, the AASM Executive Committee (EC)

decided to have the conference as an annual event with

the first annual conference held the following year in

AASM 2010 Kuala Lumpur would be the continental

platform for sport management academics, researchers,

practitioners and industrialists to meet and exchange

novel ideas and avant-garde knowledge in sports. Some

of the events that had been planned out are, key note

speeches from world renowned sport management

gurus, global sports management summit, parallel

sessions, poster presentations and sports trade

exposition.

THE PARTICIPANTS

This conference should be attended by sports academics, practitioners and researchers, both local and
