UseThe AQUALIS 2+ air-to-water heat pump is designed for heating and cooling applications in new and existing individual homes and small businesses.

When installed alone, AQUALIS 2+ is compatible with low to medium temperature emitters (underfloor heating, fan coil units, water cassettes, radiators, mixed installations, etc.). AQUALIS 2+ is also compatible with medium to high temperature emitters for boiler backup operation.

With the SANI300L option, the AQUALIS 2+ heat pump can produce domestic hot water for the home all year round.

The AQUALIS 2+ heat pump is installed outside in an open area, ideally as close as possible to the boiler room.

Each device is tested in the factory and delivered ready for operation.

installation reCommendationsLocationAQUALIS 2+ units are designed to be installed outdoors on a home deck/patio or in a garden, preferably near to the machine room.n Choose the location for the unit with care. Choose a location compatible with the environmental conditions (avoid installing near bedrooms (including neighbours' bedrooms, and areas where noise could reverberate, etc.)n Ensure the recommended minimum clearances around the unit to allow easy access for installation and maintenance and ensure proper operation of the heat pump. (see Dimensions and Free space)n Nothing should obstruct the air intake or discharge.

Electrical connectionsAll the information needed to wire the system is provided on the wiring diagram supplied with the unit. The diagram should be followed to the letter.

Wiring must be carried out in accordance with accepted engineering practices and conform to current standards.

A cut-off switch or circuit breaker must be installed on the electrical supply's outgoing line by the fitter.

Hydraulic connectionsHydraulic connections are to be made in accordance with good engineering practice.Hoses must be installed on the unit's inlet and outlet for hydraulic connection. The system's pipes must also be held clear of the wall using anti-vibration mounts in order to prevent the transmission of noise and vibrations. As heat pump exchangers are sensitive to clogging, flush the lines thoroughly before connecting them to the unit. Install a < 600 μm screen filter to prevent fouling of the heat exchangers.

The following accessories are essential to any hydraulic system and must also be installed:n System drain connection at low point,n Air vents at pipe high points,n Sufficient system water capacity (see Technical

characteristics), n Buffer capacity or additional expansion vessel if necessary,

Commissioningn Follow the instructions given in our installation and maintenance manuals.

Maintenancen Follow the instructions in the owner's manual.n Take out an annual maintenance contract.
