An operation can cut some of the extra kilos, but experience tells, that even though it is burdensome to carry some 150 kilo, many patients gain weight again. New research: A pedometer can encourage users to walk more – and loose weight. Living by numbers is a new weapoon in the war against diseases in modern socity. Technology shall empower citicens if not – the effect will be small (Jama experience)
