◦ Circle 10pronouns used. Star if written in 1st person: “I,” “me,” “my,” “us,” “we,” etc.
Focusing on ONE incident: ◦ At the bottom of the page, write a one sentence summary of what the
author is writing about. Put a happy face if it focuses on one incident. Put a sad face if it is not focused, and explain why.
Reflection:◦ Underline 20 verbs. Put stars next to the verbs in past tense. Circle any
that are not and need to be. Voice:
◦ At the top of the paper, write “PERSONALITY” and list 3 personality traits you “got” from reading the paper.
Tone:◦ On the left hand side of the margin on the paper, write “ATTITUDE =
