CLR – stands for Controlled LabReactors and encompasses conventional singlereactor systems (ALR’s) and multi-reactor applicationsfor parallel process optimisation. SYSTAG products inthe CLR business division support personnel inchemical development laboratories and enable therealisation of more efficient and practice-orientatedtrials and logging. Integration of diverse analyticalmethods (also provided by other manufacturers) orspecial process techniques complement the CLRsegment.
TPS – the Thermal Process Safetybusiness division is dedicated exclusively to theinspection and qualification of the thermal risk poten-tial in a chemical process.
SYSTAG reaction calorimetry delivers thereaction output and heat of a synthetic reaction,whereas SYSTAG thermal analysis with FlexyTSCidentifies further data on undesired decompositionreactions (including storage & transportation tests) ofchemicals and their products.
The combination of reaction calorimetryand thermal analysis employed delivers part of thethermal risk analysis from time to time.
PCS – Plant Control Systems arespecific customer solutions involving automated kilo-lab & pilot plants up to 250 l reactor volume.Consistency from development to production improvesthe knowledge transfer and understanding of theprocess. Turnkey plants from a single provider enableus to provide support from engineering andprofessional system integration to IQ/OQ andassistance during validation.

Whether conventional laboratory reactors,multi-reactor systems or reaction calorimetry applications areinvolved, all SYSTAG applications can be integrated andcombined within the FlexyConcept platform with a few clicksof the mouse. A standard reactor is transformed in next to notime into a heat flow calorimeter, or a single reactor systemconverted into a multi-reactor application for processoptimisation and DoE (design of experiments).
However, the concept and, consequently, themethod of operation remain the same. No additional trainingis necessary. Durability and investment protection are onceagain guaranteed.

diagram together with the most important system values inthe yellow fields. On the right (partially covered by twooperating windows) freely selectable graphics are provided toallow the user a full view of the operation and the graphicsdisplay.
Manual OperationThe keys in the main display window will open
a number of additional windows; temperature control andDosing 1 are currently displayed. Through these windows,complete groups can be manually operated, includingparameter and limit setting.
Recipe ControlThe required operational steps can be
obtained from Basic Operations (left illustration). They canbe opened with a double-click, parameters are set similar toa manual operation.
Graphic Presentations andEvaluationsGraphic presentations and calculations can
be prepared after the completion of experiments. They canbe exported into the protocol.
Automatic ProtocolAll important steps of an experiment (selection
and templates are user selectable) can be entered and printedas Word documents.
