PREVENTING DOCUMENT JAMS DUE TO FAULTYOPERATION OF REGISTRATION SENSOR

Details[Phenomena]Document delivery jams may occur when folded or very curled documents are used in the DF-A1.

[Cause]While a folded or extremely curled document passes through the registration sensor section of the DF-A1,the registration sensor begins chattering as the curled portion of the document passes through and faultydetection of document delivery may be caused.

[Factory measure]The sensor lever of the registration sensor has been extended by 1 mm to prevent chattering of theregistration sensor due to curls in the document.
