Born and educated in the United Kingdom. B.A.(Hons) Drama, from the University of Natal, RSA (1978).
VOICE- OVERS He created the original role of ‘Glad-One’, half of the robot character One-One in INFINITY TRAIN , a new series for CARTOON NETWORK,(2019) as well as the Announcer for the scifi series MISSION TO ZYXX. In GAME OF THRONES, Jeremy voiced the new role of Denner Frostfinger and also Brother Cyst in STAR WARS for the interactive video games.
Among a host of commercial clients, he has fronted the Checkers TV campaign for nearly a decade and advertised VISA for the USA & Canada. Known for a vast range of character voices & styles. He delivered the original solo ‘one-breath’ voice for the original MTN Cellphone campaign in 1994-96 and again in 2004. In South Africa, his voice � launched the TV campaign for Apple iPod (2006) and 4Guinness (2007).
Clients include: BMW, Kelloggs, Vodafone, Castrol, Colgate-Palmolive, SAA, Rover, Emirates, DSTV, Old Mutual, M-Web, Shell, Standard Bank, Chrysler, Coca-Cola, Goodyear, The Sunday Times, ADT, Lexus, Hyundai, Samsung in the USA, and many others. He has voiced RED BULL characters since 2005 and his ‘NAPOLEON” animation voice was the representative Red Bull Cartoon in the USA. Since 1981, his work has helped win many advertising awards in S.A., the U.S and the U.K. (AAA Apex; Loeries; London Awards).
1983 – Co-founder of “Home” Recording Studios, servicing the industry for 5 years. (Hollywood I.B.A. Award 94 for World’s Best use of sound for “The Talking Engine”.
RADIO DRAMA and VOICE DUBBING / ADR
Lead voice in “Strindberg – A Life” (Sweden) – nominated best performance in dubbing; “Commissaire Moulin” (France) and “Boetie Goes to War” (S.A. for U.S. release) and many others. Numerous dramas and serials since 1981, including Albert in Tom Stoppard’s “Albert’s Bridge”; Evans in “Heart In The Ice” (both nominated for Best Actor) and in ’94 for the SABC he played Gregory Rose in the classic “Story of An African Farm”. ORIGINAL WORK:
A lover of the acoustic and electric guitar, he created, staged and performed his own rock music and lyrics for such shows as “Bloodbreath Anaesthetic” (1978), “Sloper” (1983), and “ A Nightmare on Pretoria Street” (1991). On the Prophets of The City debut Album, Jeremy played electric 6 & 12 string guitars on their hit version of “Jabulani”. He composed, played and recorded his own musical version of Lewis Carroll’s “Jabberwocky” (SABC ’89) He composed music and sound effects, as well as co-writing lyrics, for the cult classic “Brothers of the Head” by Brian Aldiss in 1984 (the only production then allowed of this work worldwide.)
In 2010 he cut an original contemporary Blues-Rock album: “RELEASE” - on which he wrote and co-produced all 12 songs. He sang Vocals & played all acoustic, electric 6 & 12-string guitars & Bass and he also created & directed the Music Video.
