People from differentwalks of life come to ourschool. Their interactionsare encouraging, inspiringand a learning experiencefor students.....
Shri.Indravadan Modi, chairperson ofCadilla Pharmaceuticals visited ourschool to share some of his experiences with thestudents of class VIII and also with the studentsof Pipaliya School. Excerpts from his interactionwith the students:
Student :What is the secret of your success?Mr. Modi : Once you have done your duty,
listen to your conscience, it will be clean andclear, it is possible only if you are nearer to God.For that you have to serve mankind whicheverway you can and should feel happy while servingothers.
Student : We have heard that you have beento Kailash Mansarovar many a times. What is theinspiration behind this?
Mr. Modi : I like adventure and there is some-thing that pulls me to the place often. One should
always enjoy adventure in life which makes aman take up challenges that are tough. Youshould always strive to attain heights. The word‘try’ should not be in your dictionary. A taskshould be done in order to complete it.
Student : What is your opinion about thepresent day education system and the values intoday’s children?
Mr. Modi : The syllabus is tough and the chil-dren end up learning by rote rather than under-standing the concepts. Exams should be of the‘open book test’ type. The values in today’s chil-dren have deteriorated and they have no respectfor elders, parents or teachers.
Student : Sir, Do you have any advice for us?Mr. Modi : You should rise early, should be
close to nature, studious, career – oriented andhonest in your effort. Above all, you should be atrue nationalist at heart.
