A worried CEO Solution:- After reading this case we get to know that the company was in a bad position due to poor management. The issues were, 1. Manager was against Gowda because he was leaned towards the CITU & this would have formed a trade union in the factory which the management never wanted. 2. In order to pull back Gowda , manager started supporting Subbu for different purpose. It encouraged Subbu to start cultural group & for which later Subbu tried to take advantage by interfering in the unions working. 3. Gowda did not follow the rules of the factory by not attending the enquiry because of lack of trust in the management or arrogance. 4. All the program and provisions should come through the elected trade union. In this case the management was entertaining other trade unions as well. Suggestions:- 1. Management should not intervene in the working of the trade union. 2. It should empower only the official body to make decision & should not entertain external bodies for own purpose. 3. If they encourage external bodies to promote customs & culture than it should happen with the consensus of the official body. 4. It should try to take steps to build internal relations or employee relation to create faith amongst the employees. 5. Prior notice should be given to the management before going on strike.

Solution:-

After reading this case we get to know that the company was in a bad position due to poor

management.

The issues were,

1.  Manager was against Gowda because he was leaned towards the CITU & this would have

formed a trade union in the factory which the management never wanted.

2.  In order to pull back Gowda , manager started supporting Subbu for different purpose. It

encouraged Subbu to start cultural group & for which later Subbu tried to take advantage by

interfering in the unions working.

3. Gowda did not follow the rules of the factory by not attending the enquiry because of lack of

trust in the management or arrogance.

4.  All the program and provisions should come through the elected trade union. In this case the

management was entertaining other trade unions as well.

Suggestions:-

1.  Management should not intervene in the working of the trade union.

2.  It should empower only the official body to make decision & should not entertain external

bodies for own purpose.

3.  If they encourage external bodies to promote customs & culture than it should happen with the

consensus of the official body.

4.  It should try to take steps to build internal relations or employee relation to create faith

amongst the employees.

5.  Prior notice should be given to the management before going on strike.
