From humble beginnings, TAJMAC has grown to

become one of Europe’s largest groups specialising in

metal-working machinery. Founded before the

Second World War by Amedeo Tajariol, the business

was brought to its knees by bombing raids in 1944.

With huge determination, Amedeo started again,

salvaging parts and rebuilding. Soon the new business,

Tajariol Macchine Utensili, was serving the whole of

Italy with automatic lathes. Seventy years later,

TAJMAC is still a family company, with Amedeo’s son

and grandchildren working in the business. But the

wider TAJMAC family has also grown. We are now a

truly global concern which supplies several type of

metal-working equipment to manufacturers around

the world. Our operations stretch from casting plants in

the Czech Republic to partnerships with distributors all

around Europe, USA, India, China and South America.

Wherever quality turning machines, spares or service is

required, there’s an arm of the TAJMAC Group ready to

help. TAJMAC Group companies are more than

suppliers.

We design and manufacture multispindle conventional

and CNC lathes, swiss type lathes, and machining

centres, constantly evolving as technology and

applications change. Our size and financial stability

allow us to invest in the most advanced manufacturing

plant. Our buying power allows us to deliver aordable

solutions to our customer base. As component

manufacture becomes increasingly complex,

demanding and critical, our engineers work with our

customers, solving problems and helping to keep their

businesses competitive and profitable. The following

pages include an introduction to the TAJMAC Group

companies and their products. Even though businesses

serve dierent markets and customer needs, all of

them share a common vision and purpose. Quality,

service and support are paramount, as is remaining at

the forefront of precision metal-working technology.

At TAJMAC, engineering is in the blood.

Welcome to the family.

In 2000, when Owen Coyne and Chris Barrett took over Wickman, they

revitalised a brand with a long tradition of excellence. Since the 1930s,

Wickman had been known for producing quality multi-spindle lathes, but

under its new leadership, the business has become an international concern

which supports turning companies around the globe.

ProductWickman develops, manufactures and supplies multi-spindle lathes for the production of medium to high volumes of

components with dimensions ranging from 5mm to 82mm. Wickman lathes are capable of both large outputs and

extremely high levels of precision. Lathes use either mechanical control or easy-to-use CNC systems. The company’s

commitment to continuous improvement is shown in lathes with reduced set-up times, great flexibility and outstanding

machining accuracy. In addition to new lathes, the business also remanufactures high-quality Wickman lathes which are

sourced from around the world. Only genuine Wickman spares are used to restore machines to their original condition

and production tolerances.

ServiceAftercare and service are fundamental parts of the Wickman approach. The business expects its lathes to be working

hard, forty or fifty years from now and is still producing spares for machines it originally made many decades ago. New

or refurbished, genuine Wickman spares are always available. The firm also oers a range of maintenance contracts.

These ensure that their customer’s machines remain in productive and perfectly-tuned condition, year after year,

eliminating fears of potential downtime.

The Wickman Team Wickman is an engineering business, run by, and for, engineers. It thrives on high standards and co-operation. You’ll find,

when you deal with the Wickman team, that you share a common language. Tolerances, accuracy, eciency,

aordability and reliability are critical to you, and they are to every member of the Wickman team.

Why MORI-SAYThese multi-spindle lathes are capable of producing the most complex and

detailed components with outstanding precision and finish. The bar capacity

ranges from 5mm, right through to 72mm, making MORI-SAY suitable for

machining parts for a wide range of industries and applications. They are

capable of faster indexing than the competition and, as a consequence, very

cost-eective production. They oer a remarkable level of versatility in

machining and changeovers. A front teeth HIRTH-type mechanism locks the spindle drum and all movements of the

radial and frontal slides are independent with a wide lever ratio. MORI-SAY also eliminates the need for toggles.

Controlled using electronic systems, MORI-SAY machines are highly accurate, adaptable machines.

Working with MORI-SAY MORI-SAY engineers are experts at solving problems and in tailoring their machines to produce exactly the components

required, however complex the design. With such adaptable and reliable machines, the business enjoys working with its

customers, helping them to devise the most ecient ways of production. Machines can be customised or built entirely

to a customer’s specification for a particular need. And, where a customer has more than one MORI-SAY lathe, the

benefits of interchangeable parts and accessories result in flexible operations with the potential for considerable cost

savings.

MORI-SAY is a firm advocate of improving machine performance through the application of electronic equipment. Their

sophisticated lathes benefit from the finest control systems possible.

Taking its company name from its home in the Upper Rhine, MANURHIN

was founded almost a century ago. It has been producing lathes since the

1930s when it launched its own automatic bar turning machines. Always an

innovator, MANURHIN developed and produced the world’s first

numerical-controlled sliding headstock lathe back in the 1970s, and in 1987

launched its flagship K’MX range which is still used by manufacturers all over

the globe. In 2004, MANURHIN became part of the TAJMAC family. The

change allowed MANURHIN to further develop its product lines and

become the leading supplier of sliding head machines.

MANURHIN K´MX

K’MXThe K’MX range has become synonymous with CNC Swiss-type lathes. Since its inception, it has become a favourite for

the production of small, complex parts where precision is crucial. These lathes are widely used in the automotive, medical

and electronics industries, where accuracy is essential. K’MX lathes are also a favourite with their operators. Although

compact in size they are clearly laid out and simple and fast to program. These qualities make them suitable for small

production quantities, but their rapid cycle times mean that they are also great machines for larger volume orders.

The RangeThe K’MX range includes lathes for the manufacture of all sizes of components from Ø2mm right through to Ø36mm.

From the simplest model in the K’MX family, an entry level four axes lathe Ø13mm bare size capacity with quick and easy

set up, including four, five, six and seven linear axes machines with bar capacities of up to Ø36mm and up to the most

sophisticated model with ten linear axes, 14 powered tools, easy to program, set up and operate, MANURHIN is able to

oer you all adapted solutions to machining your parts.

InnovationMANURHIN will always continue to develop and refine its products, but every MANURHIN lathe, of whatever

generation, has made its mark on the turning industry.
