additive is mixed with wax or polyolefins, the foaming liquids have the advantage of not being based on polymers that may interfere with the final characteristics of the final product. They can therefore be used with all polymers, avoiding the problem of using different masterbatches according to the type of product.The big advantage of the liquid foaming is given by the small quantity that can be used compared to the usual granules ones, giving back a much better perfomance.

POWDER: - thermoexpandable microspheres produced by the japanese SEKISUI Chemicals, in partnership with Raiex in Italy;

COLOR MASTERBATCHThe company distributes masterbatch prepared with mixtures of various single pigment concentrates from organic and inorganic pigments. They keep the original and the best qualities (good dispersion of pigments and easy spread in the resins) and allow the mixing of additives to get final products with special features.

Masterbatches are used in all fields of transformation, whose concentrations vary following the application and the characteristics of intensity and opacity of the required color.

The offer of Raiex involves the use of foaming and coloring pastes that are injected directly in the processing phase in the lower part of the hopper, through a special dosage station.The system is simple and effective, it can be used in injection molding, extrusion and in rotational molding.

The dosage station is based on a very precise peristaltic pump that allows precise dosage with reduced percentages of use of the pastes. On average, the percentage of use is around 0.8-1% for opaque colors, 0.02% for the transparent colors, of 2-3% for foaming and of 0,2-0,5% to avoid drain.Compared to colours, or to traditional foaming masterbatch in which the additive is mixed with waxes or polyolefins, the paste has the advantage of not being based on polymers that may interfere with the final

characteristics of the product. It can be used with all polymers, avoiding the problem of having to use different masterbatches according to the type of product.

The paste has a perfect dispersibility which allows the production of highly brilliant products, especially with transparent colours in which the dosages are very low. Often it has solved the problem of apparent flow lines due to molds with complex geometries; also on silver colors, paste frequently solves the problems due to lines or flow injections.

Perfection in the development of colors is guaranteed by the state of the art laboratory, with colorimeter, spectrophotometer and a trial molding plant.

The operative principle operative of the peristaltic pump is based on the flow generated by the crushing of a tube by some rollers in rotational movement.This type of pump is known for its sensitivity in operation, for the ability of dispensing viscous fluids and for the absence of valves. This latter function is compensated by the compression of the rollers on the tube, which in fact behave both as non-return valve and suction. Two easy to plug fittings make the attach operation quick and easy, and its compactness allows its use in various applications. The supplied pump is inserted in a crate having a special electronic control system of the flow. Versions are available with different types of power.

INJECTIONIn molding the dosage unit is connected to the loading of the pressing coil, giving an automatic dosing following the speed. A silicone tube connects the container of the dough to the hopper, through the pump dosing the additive directly to the beginning. The change of colour is immediate: you will only need to take off the silicone tube and replace it without having to operate any type of cleaning.

EXTRUSIONThe extrusion unit dosage is connected to the die so that it reads the screw speed, feeding automatically the paste according to the flow of the plant.

ROTATIONAL MOLDINGIn rotational molding the paste is poured directly into the turbo mixer, achieving high dispersion.Raiex engineers take care of the installation of the unit of dosage, customized according to the production plant, and are able to provide after-sales service.
