Your “My Home” Page:
Review all ethics applications submitted to you by researchers belonging to your Department
Manage your own ethics applications and COI declarations
“My Roles”
RISe assigns user roles based on your rank and responsibilities
All researchers will have a role called “PI & Staff”. You must operate under this role in order to create, renew or amend your RISe applications. Department Heads/Reviewers will have a role called “Dept/Div Approver” which you must operate under to review ethics applications and COI declarations.
Each role is associated with a different “My Home” template. Click on the role you want to operate under for specific tasks/activities
Your active operating role will be bolded and displayed in the color bar above your “My Roles”

Workspace Your Department Head workspace consists of a number of tabs used to help organize and manage your studies:
My Inbox Conflict of Interest Animal Care Human Ethics Inactive
My Inbox This is the default tab of your “My Home” page Contains all new Animal Care and Human Ethics applications as well as COI declarations that are awaiting your review/approval
Conflict of Interest This tab contains COI/COC Declarations
The most current declarations for your Department’s faculty members can be found under the Conflict of Interest/Conflict of Commitment (current) subheading Any amendments to any declarations undergoing review will show under the Amendments (in progress) subheading
Animal Care This tab contains all active Animal Care applications submitted by researchers in your Department (including those that have Expired)
Human Ethics This tab contains all active Human Ethics applications submitted by researchers in your department (including those that have Expired)
New applications are shown under the subheading, Human Ethics Post Approval Activities (PAAs) pending approvals are shown under the subheading, PAA
Inactive This tab contains all terminated and withdrawn applications belonging to researchers in your department
Applications that have been submitted a Completion of Study will be closed and terminated by the REBA and filed here Applications that you have “Permanently Inactivated” by the PI are also filed under the Inactive tab
