• SPI commissioned by FilmTT to create a strategic plan with several key aims

Assess the current state of the film and audiovisual sector

Propose measurable actions to develop a viable, profitable and sustainable film and audiovisual industry over the next 5 years

Project the future state of the industry for a further 5-10 years

Identify and leverage the potential that exists in the sector

Consider how the local industry should be positioned in the context of the international film and audiovisual industry

Project Focus and Deliverables

• The strategic plan will focus on domestic and international production in Trinidad and Tobago

• Both are crucial for a holistic strategy

• A stakeholder database will be created to map the current industry to enable data-driven insight and provide a benchmark against which results can be assessed in the future

• Strategy will result in an implementation plan, outlining timescales, estimated budget, investment strategy and responsibilities

• Key performance indicators will be identified

• Public benefits will also be outlined

• The project started in June and will take six months
