I have intended (to perform) Three Raka’ats Witr Salaah for Allah


Note: When performing the Witr in Jama’at such as in the month of Ramadaan, recite before it:

لی جہۃ متو ہاا ج

You should say this as well:

اقتدیت بھذالمام

The above should also be mentioned when performing Salaah behind the Imam in Jama’at for other Salaahs as well.

If one is an Imam, then he should say,

حض ومن یحض اناامام لمن

If the person is saying the Niyyat in English he should say, ‘behind

this Imam’. If the Imam should say, ‘I am Imam (i.e. intending to lead as

Imam) for those who are performing behind me currently, and

those who will come later’.

If the deceased is a na-baaligh boy, i.e. one who has not reached the age of puberty, then you should say,

Li Haadhas Sabiy-yi

If the deceased is a na-baaligh girl, i.e. one who has not reached the age of puberty, then you should say,
