Rajat Agrawal ji is an Indian industrialist and 1st generation entrepreneur.

He is Managing Director of Gravita group. The Gravita group having global footprints in

recycling of non-ferrous metals mainly Lead and Aluminium.

Rajat Agrawal follows the philosophy of ‘Work with Pleasure’ and believes that Human

Resource and Team are very important tools to achieve success.

He is an inspiration to budding entrepreneurs and managers across the country.

Agrawal ji has won many awards including “The Most Innovative CEO Award” by Inc. 500,

“The Niryat Shree Award” by the President of India, TV-18-“ICICI Bank Emerging India

Award” and many more.

He is Chairman of CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), Rajasthan and under his

leadership the Rajasthan state has conducted many events for the growth of industry in the

state.

He is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from MNIT. Later he joined Owner/President

Management programme at Harvard Business School. He is married to Mrs. Anchal Agrawal

and have two lovely kids.

Shri B B Singh took over as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of MSTC Ltd w.e.f. 1st June,

2016. He has done B.E. (Mechanical), MBA (Marketing) and Energy Auditor Course (BEE).

His vision is to place MSTC as dominant e-commerce player in the country and promote

transparency & fairness in every sphere of business activities. Thus, the widely e-

Commerce will be an important tool and aid for ‘Digital India’ Drive.

In May 2010, he joined MSTC Ltd as Director (Commercial) till 31-5-2016. He looked after

import trading and e-Commerce business of the company. MSTC has increased business

portfolio by diversifying into various areas of e-Commerce activities during his tenure of 6

years as Director (Commercial).

He was also a nominated Director of FSNL, Bhilai from 2010 till May 2015. FSNL is a

subsidiary of MSTC Ltd. He took keen interest in operation, financial and overall

performance of the Company. The Company has been performing well since last 3 years.

In 2000, he joined BEML Ltd, Regional Office, Singrauli, MP as Dy. General Manager

(Marketing) and subsequently joined the Corporate Office of BEML Ltd at Bangalore in

2003. He worked in various fields like Sales, service, spare parts, sale realization, Market

Research, Sales Promotion, Domestic & International Services, Trading etc. for Heavy Earth

Moving Machines (HEMM) in different capacities till April, 2010.

In the year 1983, he joined Northern Coalfields Ltd, Singrauli, MP as Management Trainee

and worked till 2000 and gathered rich experience in the areas of HEMM and mines

operations.

Subsequently, he has pursued PGDBM from Institute of Management Sciences and

Productivity Research, New Delhi.

He has been working at Maruti Suzuki India Limited for the past 23 years and has worked

in areas of Rubber & Plastic Components Procurement, Raw material & Consumables

Procurement, Global Procurement, Exports & Logistics management as well as Vendor

Upgradation.

He is currently holding the position of Vice President (Supply Chain - Control). In this

capacity he is heading the Strategic Sourcing, Raw Materials & Accessories Procurement

function. He is also responsible for Upgradation activities at suppliers’ end and supporting

the new production facilities of SMG, Gujarat.

GEMINI CORPORATION

Belgium based Surendra ji Borad Patawari is founder and chairman of Gemini Corporation. Gemini is engaged in sourcing and distribution of recyclable plastics, metal and rubber. With a team of 200 people spread over 16 countries it handles annually 1.2 million tons of materials. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India conferred on Surendra ji 2015 CA Global Business Leader Award. He is also Chairman of the Plastic Committee of BIR.

To achieve his philanthropic goals, he has adopted eight Indian villages for their medical

needs, built and operates two schools for 400 students and supports the plantation and

maintenance of over 100.000 trees.

SHRI. BALVINDER KUMAR: SECRETARY MINES, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA

Shri Balvender Kumar IAS (UP: 1981) joined as Secretary Ministry of Mines in New Delhi today. Before joining the Ministry of Mines, Shri Balvender Kumar was holding the charge of Vice-Chairman, Delhi Development Authority under Ministry of Urban Development. He took over the charge from Dr. Anup K Pujari IAS (KN: 1980) who is now the Secretary Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises. Born in 1957, Shri Balvender Kumar is M.Sc. M.Phil (Botany). Shri Balvender Kumar has served the Central and Uttar Pradesh Governments in various capacities. Shri Kumar was earlier posted as additional secretary in Department of Agriculture & Cooperation and Development Commissioner (Handlooms) in M/o Textiles. He was director in the Department of Fertilizers from May 1999 to March 2001 and then joint secretary till July 2004 in the M/o Chemicals & Fertilizers. He has also worked as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Noida Authority, Vice-chairman Lucknow Development Authority, Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation and District Magistrate in Moradabad and Rampur districts. He has worked as Principal Secretary in departments of social welfare, women and child development, trade & taxes, revenue, science & technology and non-conventional energy sources deptt etc. in Uttar Pradesh.

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA.

From being an IAS officer to being elected as a member of parliament to becoming a union

minister Arjun Ram Meghwalji is an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata

Party and former party Chief Whip in 16th Lok Sabha, Currently he is Union Minister of

State for Finance and Corporate Affairs in Government of India He has been elected to the

15th and 16th Lok Sabhas from Bikaner constituency, Rajasthan in 2009 and 2014

respectively. As an MP, he has been a member of various parliamentary Committees

including on defence, science and technology, environment and forest, personnel, public

grievances and law and justice. He was awarded the Best parliamentarian Award in 2013.

Easily identified by his green and saffron turban Meghwalji doesn't use the car provided by

the government in commuting for work. Instead, he uses his Cycle as a local transport

mode. Indeed, he had even pedaled his way up to Rashtrapati Bhavan for his swearing-in as

minister of state. He says using cycle saves fuel, protects environment and keeps the human

being fit. Meghwalji has participated in many programs for development of Rajasthani

language and its inclusion in 8th Schedule of the Constitution.

BIRENDER SINGH, MINISTER OF STEEL, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA Shri Birender Singh hails from district Jind in Haryana (India) and did his graduation from Government College, Rohtak, Haryana and LL.B from Department of Law, Panjab University, Chandigarh. In his long political career spanning over 40 years, Shri Singh has been a five time Member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly during 1977-82, 1982-84, 1991-96, 1996-2000 and 2005-2009. Shri Birender Singh also remained Cabinet Minister, Government of Haryana during 1982-84, 1991-92 and from 2005-2009. Shri Singh has also been Member of the Lok Sabha from 1984-1989 and Rajya Sabha from August, 2010 to August, 2014. ROBIN K. WIENER, PRESIDENT, ISRI Robin K. Wiener joined the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. (ISRI), in 1989 to direct the association’s environmental compliance activities. On June 2, 1997, she was appointed ISRI executive director, after serving as association assistant counsel and director of environmental compliance. In March 2000, ISRI’s board conferred on her the title of president. As president of ISRI, Robin manages the day to day operations of the 1,300 member companies operating in nearly 4,000 locations in the U.S. and 34 countries worldwide that process, broker, and consume scrap commodities including metals, paper, plastic, glass, textiles, rubber, and electronics; provides strategic direction for the association, and oversees 42 staff members. The Washington, DC-based office publishes an award-winning bimonthly magazine, manages an active federal and state lobbying program, provides environmental, health and safety guidance and training, tracks commodities markets, and provides a variety of other services to the associations member companies.

Shri. Ranjit Singh Baxi, is Founder Chairman of J and H Sales (International) Ltd., leading

exporters of Recovered Fibre for recycling, operating across UK, Europe and the Far East.

In 2001, the company received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise (International Trade).

In 2015 he was appointed President of the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR), prior to

which he was Treasurer from 2011 and also President of the Paper Division from 2007-

2013.

He is a recognised expert in the recycling business, and is a major contributor to

international trade journals.

He recently published an authoritative book “Recycling our Future – A Global Strategy”

launched June 2014 at BIR Miami Convention.

Amongst many awards received, Mr. Baxi was honoured to be voted ‘Asian of The Year’ in

2008.

Baxi ji has also held a number of Non-Executive directorships, including being a Board

Director of Olympic Park Legacy Company, London.

A fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, FRSA, Baxi ji holds a Bachelor of Science degree - BSc

and a Master of Business Administration – MBA.

Kishore Narne is the Associate Director at Motilal Oswal group. He currently leads the

Commodity and Currency business for the group. He holds a Masters’ in Financial

Management and has over 15 years of experience in commodities space and has worked

with various multi-national as well as domestic broking houses. He has been the winner of

“India’s Best Market Analyst - Commodities” from Zee Business for 2011, and Motilal Oswal

under his leadership has been awarded “India’s Best Market Analyst – Forex” from Zee

Business in 2014 and “Market Excellence Award – Bullion” from Zee Business in 2016. He is

ENGR. SALAM AL SHARIF, PRESIDENT, BMR

Engr. Salam Al Sharif has 30 years field experience in business. He graduated in 1984 from

Texas A&M University with a double major in Civil and Metallurgy Engineer, and worked as

Civil Engineer for two years. He joined the family business in 1986 and has helped boost

business volumes tenfold and acquired domestic and international recognition in the Metal

Industry.

Extensive knowledge and exposure in the metals field has given him an accumulated

experience of 65 years, especially when he has worked hand in hand with his father, the

late Chairman Mahmoud Al Sharif and now with the 3 younger brothers. He is now serving

as Chairman of Sharif Group and leading the 3rd generation team into a succession plan to

the 4th generation.

During his career he has held several positions at the Bureau of International Recycling

(BIR) from a Board Member to Vice President and Middle East Representative and is

currently serving as Chairman of the Ambassadors Committee. He is also involved in

spearheading the Bureau of Middle East Recycling (BMR), a non-profit organization

representing suppliers/traders in the Middle East recycling industry.

Sharif Metals was established in 1963 as a family-owned company and the pioneer recycler

of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in the Middle East region with 11 scrap yards across GCC

and the Mediterranean. The company recycles full range of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap

metals and is a producer of secondary Aluminum and Lead Alloys in the GCC.

Engr. SALAM AL SHARIF is frequently been invited as ‘Guest Speaker’ in different

renowned local and international forums in the recycling and environmental industries.
