You see a lot about my book but don’t know anything about me. Here it is!

MY CHILDHOOD

It’s me in the middle. I’m probably about 5 or 6. It was taken either 1982 or 1983. I wasn’t able to make the picture bigger. It became grainy.

This was taken on a visit to Oklahoma. My mom and my sisters live there. I hadn’t seen them in 13 years. It was a good reunion.

I grew up in Grass Valley, California in the middle of the forest. When asked if my parents were hippies, I said “No, my dad just liked nature.” I know what it’s like to have very little and to be able to survive in nature. I would consider myself a very real down to earth person.

CREATIVITY AS HEALING Without going into too many details, my childhood

was definitely one of survival. I started drawing about the age of 4. I’ve always been creative with a big imagination. Writing and painting comes easy to me. I was told once to choose one craft to pursue but I can’t choose between the two. It’s like choosing between air and water. When I’m not writing, I’m painting with watercolors or acrylics.

MY GREATEST CREATIONS

My children are definitely the best two little people to ever come into my life. They are one of a kind originals, can never be replaced or copied. My heart grows with them.

FAITH I would consider myself an

honest person. I truly believe in angels and I love God. I respect other peoples belief systems for we all come from different backgrounds. I believe all belief systems come together like spokes in a wheel. I believe in treating others as I would like to be treated.

I like being silly, positive, creative, and having fun!

I love the outdoors.

My favorite colors are pink and purple!

MY PETS I love animals. You will see a ton of animal pictures

on my Facebook page. I feel animals are great stress relievers. I have a chocolate lab too but I unfortunately don’t have any pictures of him on my computer. I will add them later. Sorry Jakies!
