A powerful resource for faculty and staff seeking funding opportunities

THE GRANTS RESOURCE CENTER

The Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development (ORIED) maintains an institutional subscription to the Grants Resource Center (GRC), a unit of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) which provides tools, services, and expertise on securing competitive grants from federal and private sponsors.

Federal Agency Fact SheetsOne-page fact sheets highlighting key information on every federal agency and sub-agency that funds university research, training and other projects. This one-stop-shop provides information on funding opportunities, agency budgets, contact information, agency specific tips on applying for funding, and important things to watch out for– all in one place!

GrantSearchGrantSearch, GRC’s proprietary search engine, is an online database containing over 1,500 funding opportunities that support academic activities such as research, education, training, fellowships, program or curriculum development, and/or equipment acquisition.  Most programs in GrantSearch are cyclical (funded every year) and the database excludes solicitations that are limited to a specific region, that make fewer than three awards annually, and for which higher education institutions are not eligible to apply or partner.

Publications Deadlines is distributed once a month to provide 90 days’ notice of

federal and private grant opportunities deadlines. Each entry includes a program description, agency contact information, a link to the solicitation, and special competition information such as limitations on the number of applications accepted per institution. You may subscribe to an individualized faculty alert system that delivers relevant Deadlines funding opportunities to your inbox.

GrantWeek is a weekly electronic news magazine. Its articles analyze federal legislation, agency policies, and challenges and best practices in research administration. Content is based on federal budget briefings, technical assistance workshops, interviews with program officers and successful awardees, and other higher education and national news sources.

GRC Bulletin is a twice-weekly digest of federal opportunities posted in the Grants.gov, Federal Register, and FedBizOpps notices with the potential to have an impact on higher education grant-seeking.

Note: These are some of the more prominent GRC services. Additional resources are readily available on the GRC website.
