event celebrating the Gullah/Geechee/Sea Island History, Folk Arts, Food, Music, Crafts and West African cultural legacy. Located at Pen Center, Formally The Pen School, one of the first schools for formerly enslaved Africans and their descendants living on St. Helena Island, visitors can experience the unique setting of the 50-acre historic campus of Pen Center. $45/person

Radiant Tai Ji Quan Wednesdays, 10:30-11:30 am, ages 30+ Radiant Tai Ji Quan is born of yang style Tai Chi, Qwang Ping system. Tai Ji Quan is a system of 48 movements that also include element of Chi Kung and Ba Qua. Magical Mondays at Meadowlake December 23 & 30, 8:30 am-6:00 pm, ages 5-21 Magical Mondays at Meadowlake Park is two days full of fun, recreational games, and a lot of laughter. This camp is designed for people with special needs and their siblings. This is a perfect opportunity for respite for parents/guardians during this holiday season. Campers must bring their lunch, a healthy snack will be provided. $30/camper

Sports-A-Rama1st Tuesday monthly, 9:30 am-12:00 pm, ages 15+ A variety of sports activities such as kickball, balloon volleyball, indoor soccer, etc., will be offered. This event is held at Denny Terrace Gymnasium. Free

Walk It OutMondays, 9:30 am-12:00 pm, ages 15+ Promote health and wellness and shed a few unwanted pounds. Walk at your own pace. Each participant receives a participation award. This event is held at the Denny Terrace Gymnasium. $3/person

Greek Kickball ChallengeSunday, November 3, 10:00 am-8:00 pm, ages 18+ Calling all Greek Sororities and Fraternities to participate in our Greek Kickball Challenge Tournament. We will have an all female division and an all male division. Teams consist of at least 9 players. This is a double elimination, 5 innings tournament. Will be held at the Kelly Mill Sports Complex. $100/team

Winter Youth Basketball LeaguePractices: Mondays, 6:00-9:00 pm; Games: Saturdays, 9:00 am-4:00 pm, ages 4-15 Register by November 3. Ages 4-6 will participate in an instructional basketball league where kids are taught the fundamentals of the game. Ages 7-15 will participate in a competitive basketball league where they are taught the fundamentals of the game along with the element of competition. The season is 6 regular season games with a playoff tournament. Volunteer coaches are needed. A copy of the child’s birth certificate is required. You can drop a copy of the birth certificate off at your local RCRC recreational facility or mail a copy to 7473 Parklane Road, Columbia, SC 29223. Ages 4-6 will par�cipate in an instruc�onal basketball league where kids are taught the fundamentals of the game. Ages 7-15 will par�cipate in a compe��ve basketball league where they

are taught the fundamentals of the game along with the element of compe��on. The season is 6 regular season games with a playoff tournament. Volunteer Coaches are needed and appreciated.
