A NOTE FROM THE CO-ARTISTIC DIRECTORS:Busy, busy, busy! That’s how we roll. It seems like only yesterday we were rockin’ out to Hairspray at the State Theatre, and here we are with a very different show in a very different theatre. We are so proud that our production of Oliver is part of the "Dickens in Ithaca" series and to have partnered with Ithaca College, specifically the Department of English, as they host this series in celebration of Charles Dickens' 200th birthday! Part of this partnership was to offer comp tickets in heart-felt appreciation to Tompkins County English teachers who mentor education majors by allowing them to student teach in their classroom. Thank you for helping shape our future educators! Please see other "Dickens in Ithaca" events at (insert URL).See below for information on two fundraisers we have running--100% of the profits from each directly reduce the cost of participation in R2P for all company members! Bid now through March 3 on our online auction, and get your tickets in the lobby for our back-by-popular-demand Pasta Dinner, to be held April 21. Our next show, the uproarious comedy Noises Off has us running to the newly renovated theatre at the Charles O. Dickerson High School in Trumansburg. (Another very different show in another very different theatre – we’re running to places, get it?)As we look to the future, we’re excited to find new ways to join with community partners to keep us busy. If you have ideas of how we can partner with any Tompkins County organizations or businesses, please visit our website and drop us a line! ~ Joey & Gail

She is employed full time by the company.  Gail shares her home with husband George, daughter Shauna and son Michael with visits from daughter Kristen, son-in-law Justin and the most precious grandson of all time (so far), Dominick. Gail sends a special shout out to Resident Designer Tyler M. Perry, "Thanks for storytelling with us!"

Gregg Houck (Costume Designer): Gregg is enjoying his third season working with R2P and is thrilled to be designing for the first time as well as serving as the company’s intern and shop manager. He has a wealth of experience in youth theatre, education, and recreation. He has performed, directed, designed, and served in many roles with the Candor and Trumansburg School Districts, Binghamton University’s Youth Musical Theatre Workshop, Broome and Tompkins-Cortland Community Colleges, FLCC, Camp Seneca Lake, and Candor Community Chorus. Treasured previous productions include: Beauty and the Beast, Sound of Music, Les Miserables, The Secret Garden, Fiddler on the Roof, and Neil Simon's Rumors. He has greatly enjoyed the opportunity to work with the wonderfully talented and dedicated R2P team!

Joey Steinhagen (Resident Director and Co-Artistic Director) has been teaching, acting in, and directing theatre for young people throughout Tompkins County since 1993. He received his BFA in Acting from Ithaca College. Over the years, he has directed musicals and plays at Ithaca and Dryden High Schools, Dryden, Boynton, and Dewitt Middle Schools, for the Northern Lights Learning Center, and the Hangar Theatre’s Kiddstuff series. Joey has taught acting at Ithaca College, Cornell, SUNY Cortland, Hangar Theatre’s Next Generation program, and the Ithaca Youth Bureau. As an actor, Joey has appeared in many Mainstage and Family Fare shows at the Kitchen Theatre. He is proudest of his favorite production: Aram.

Linda Harris (Finance Manager) As an R2P parent she was, and continues to be, extremely inspired by the dedication of the founders of R2P. She has observed their positive influence on our sons and daughters and the enormous amount of personal time they give, all delivered with never ending enthusiasm and a smile. When R2P reached the goal of obtaining their non-profit status (no small feat in itself!) and needed to move forward to prepare to do business “officially” she gladly volunteered her services to help them set up shop. She brings with her, (in addition to her enthusiasm and excitement!), over twenty years of finance and administrative experience. More than ten of those years were in the non-profit sector such as The Chemical Dependencies Clinic of Otsego County and most recently, several years as the Finance Manager at the Cayuga Nature Center. Presently she is a Grant and Contract Officer for the College of Ag and Life Sciences at Cornell. She is looking forward to working with the rest of the R2P staff “behind the scenes”, (where Gail knows she is happiest!), and supporting their hard work and heartfelt efforts for our local youth.

Mike Wade (Resident Music Director) currently serves as choral and guitar teacher at Charles O. Dickerson High School, in Trumansburg, NY. He is a proud alumnus of Ithaca College, where he received his B.M. in Music Education, with concentrations in piano and voice.  Over the last four years, he has collaborated extensively with Running to Places in various capacities, as music director, conductor and collaborative pianist. Other engagements have included vocal coach & accompanist for Ithaca College’s Introduction to Music Theatre for High School students, and collaborative pianist for several Area-All State and All-County festivals throughout upstate New York. He has also worked as a pianist for several musicals & operas at Ithaca College, including a concert performance of Dana Wilson’s new opera, Wolf by the Ears. He is a proud member of the national music fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and holds membership in the National Association for Music Education and the American Choral Director’s Association. Mike maintains a small private studio on the side, and is extremely grateful to be doing the work he loves. Much love to his family, who helped give him the tools and support he needed to do the things he loves!
