The original d line range was mostly Stainless Steel to compliment other product ranges.
The xsign range was added in 2006 to more fully exploit all the other materials that could be carried on the Jigsaw fixing system. Especially new types of frosted Perspex.
The xsign range allows the specifier go up or down in the market through specification
Constant innovation has seen the addition of Contra antimicrobial copper based signs, embedded LEDs and innovative text methods, Ceramic text, Ultragraved and Multi-metal, as will investment into Braille and Tactile using Rowmark and Raster beads as well direct UV printing including White and Lacquer. The latest text method is the digital printing of metallic foils (Nitron Metallix) including chrome, brushed silver, gold and Bronze
The most recent innovation is the Puzzle Lockable range of door sign and accompanying family.

Assembly
Wall Rails supplied assembled like this are crimped using a press, to stop Male clips sliding down the rail when under load from the weight of the panel.
This also allows tape fixing or fixing to glass as an option.

Installation
Unless requested otherwise the sign is made so that the panels are
presented from the right hand side.
To access from the left (perhaps to avoid an adjacent door frame) the assembly is simply rotated 180 degrees.

The location of the male and female
Jigsaws can be felt as they align. It is always easier to demonstrate when fixed to a wall or back-board
If an ‘obstruction’ or strong resistance is felt ensure that the clips are not pushing on the edge of the rail and not yet touching each other.

the problem here is that the female
clip is caught on the Wall Rail which obstructs it’s movement.
It should be lifted away slightly and rested onto the face of the Wall Rail to allow sideways movement.

Here you can see that the Female
clip rests on the front of the Wall Rail and that helps it align to make
contact with the Male clip.
Practice ensures a confident and rapid assembly.

Locking Rod.

Here we present another sign panel.
In this instance a slightly larger header panel (58mm high) which is the preferred minimum height to hide the top Jigsaw and Locking Rod behind.

Extension
Even though the Locking Rod is hidden from view it can be easily removed in order to swap panels or to extend the sign without special tools. Either with long nosed pliers from above or ‘by feel’ inserting another spare Locking Rod from the underside, to push it out a little so that it can be gripped with the fingers and pulled back up.
