Adopt Us Please!!!!!!!

AveryThis pint sized Rottweiler mix is extra cute and extra sweet. He has the beauty of a Rott but is the size of a small lab. His paws are a little tender as he had run many miles before being rescued. Young, healthy and ready for a new home!!

RingoThis is one big beautiful boy!! We look at it as way more happiness to give and to get!! He is a little goofey and a little silly so he needs to learn a few manners which should not be hard for this smart Mastiff mix. If you have a little extra room at home please come visit Marvelous Ringo!!

Coco .....just look at that face and see the smiles he will give you. He is all Lab as we wiggles and nuzzles into you making sure he does not go unnoticed. If you love happy energy and loving affection you can’t go wrong with a dog like Coco. Oh those wonderful Labbies!!

Coco

SadieSadie was brought to A miles Dog Rescue because she was such a good dog. Her owners worked very long hours and they did not think it was fair to keep such a good girl in a crate all day. We get many dogs like Soulful Sadie that end up in rescues due to no fault of their own. If you are interested in a quite, calm beautiful sweet heart of a dog...come meet Miss Sadie

SimonSimon is a eight month old Pomeranian Chihuahua mix. He is a silly little love bug that enjoys showing off how fast he can run in circles and then how quickly he can sit in your lap for some loving. He is quiet and content for such a young fella.....just patiently waiting to go home to a family that is looking for a young, fun, lap size, adorable puppy!!

We still really need homes!!

MEET ELSIE!!!Elsie is our top dog of the month and boy does she deserve it! This beautiful gal hasn’t had many breaks in her life. It seems like some dogs have a longer bad luck streak then others and Elsie certainly has!!

Two years ago she was found as a stray..wandering around afraid and starving to death. Because of her frail health, the shelter was going to put her down. Thankfully some volunteers saw the amazing dog she

was and pulled her from the shelter. As she was nursed back to health she became happy and full of life and energy, which became an issue for her foster home. She was surrendered to another shelter where she became a little stir crazy. This shelter did not have the time she needed so again she was scheduled for euthanasia. Her Guardian Angles would not let this happen and got her out and brought her to A Miles Dog Rescue. Here she has been allowed to play and run and be happy. Although she still has alot of energy, she has had extensive obedience work and now is such a great girl. She is so loving and affectionate she can’t be close enough to her people. Now she is waiting for her final move into her forever home. If you are looking for a strong smart beautiful girl...Elsie is looking for you too...

~~Gage~~

Gage is a wonderful sweet black lab mix that will be a perfect addition to almost any family. He was found running in Athens County...most likely dumped....Despite the cruelty of humans he doesn't have a mean bone in his body. This boy is all about being gentle, sweet , and loving.... He will be a perfect addition to a family that is looking for just a easy, gentle happy healthy dog. He will make somebody a great buddy....and that somebody will be Gage’s hero forever....

If you would like to meet Gage or any other dogs call Julie @ 740-272-1320 .

~~Arthur~~

Adorable Arthur is a high spirited well behaved little Min Pin mix that was rescued from a high kill shelter. We won’t deny that this little guy was a little on the wild side when he first came to A Miles Rescue. But after time to decompress and realize that nobody was going to hurt him he has become a real sweetheart. he loves tummy rubs and time spent on laps......a little ear rubbing will work too! He is small, so would make a great travel companion for those of you who like your furry friends to spend the day with you. Although he likes it at our rescue....he is getting a little tired of bossing the big dogs around so he is ready for a real home.

~~Dempsey~~

Our Dempsey is just about the most lovable thing we’ve had around for awhile! Poor guy was found in the woods all curled up in a ball covered in burrs. So many buried into his skin he couldn't’ take a step and had to be carried a mile and a half out of the woods to safety. He is a little timid and shy and probably has not lived with the nicest people.... But once he trusts you.....wow...what a love bug. He would love to live with a calmer house that isn't too full of confusion. He also doesn't enjoy being left alone...he has discovered kindness and now can’t hardly live without it! He wants nothing more then to just hang out and be loved and rubbed....

POTCAKES!!!!!

What is a Potcake Puppy?A wonderful mix of beauty charm and attitude!

These little puppies are born in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Most will die shortly after birth unless they are lucky enough to be rescued by the wonderful TCSPCA...the islands local

rescue group. The term “Potcake “comes from the history of stray dogs being fed the left over “cake” at the bottom of the cooking ‘Pot”. They are wonderfully healthy beautiful silly dogs known for their loyalty and curly tails

Who wants a Potcake?Apparently Everyone! Since our first batch of

“Potcakes “ arrived at Miles Dog Rescue They have been a tremendous hit! Not only are they smart, laid back, ( hey they are on Island Time!) and incredibly cute, but they are also

so unique with their quirky personalities and oh so loyal!! We have people waiting for the next batch of Island Babies....but there is also still a huge need for more forever homes. Ever travel to the Turks and Caicos Islands? We also have a desperate need for travelers to help transport puppies to the States, as well as help fund the $100-$200 fee it costs to get them on the plane....

Kroger Lends a Helping Paw

Thank You Kroger~Thank You Kroger~Thank You Kroger~Thank YouWhen A Miles Dog Rescue is filled to the rim with dogs...that means lots of hungry tummies. We can pour up to 6000 lbs. of dog food into dog bowls in the course of a busy month. Many of the dogs that come to us are malnourished and sick and good nutrition is vital to help nurse these dogs back to happy, healthy. tail wagging poochies. The good folks at Kroger especially our good friend, Homer have headed up a program to help shelters and rescues feed their hungry puppies, kittens, cats and dogs. Instead of throwing away broken bags and containers, the kroger crew tapes and wraps the bags and sets a schedule for local groups to come pick the goodies up. Like clockwork, Homer can be seen driving his forklift to awaiting cars, with life changing nourishment for dogs and cats that need it most. This is a most generous gift that allows us to keep rescuing dogs....Please Support Kroger!!
