Every day, I am reminded that we are truly blessed to call Texas our home, a great place to live, work and raise our families. Likewise, we are fortu- nate to live in the United States of American, the land of freedom and opportunities. Over the past couple of years, however, every day I am reminded that our freedoms, liber- ties, and family values are under attack. Again and again, Texas finds itself under assault from the Obama administration. The federal government’s efforts to control our individual freedoms, health care, property rights, voting rights, and business industries are unprecedented. Unfortunately, Texas’ only recourse, over the past few years, against the federal government’s over reaching policies into our daily lives is to push back in the numerous court battles that are being waged by our Attorney General, Greg Abbott. A Message from Texas Senator Glenn Hegar Now, however, in 2012 we have a second alternative and that is the ballot box. Our primary elections have been delayed in Texas by over two months and we are still denied the implementation of a common sense Texas’ Voter Identification Law, because of this administration. Now is the time for Texas Repub- licans to unite and take back our government. I ask that you join me in turning out to vote on May 29th, so that we can send a loud and clear message that we want a “change” on November 6, 2012. The change that I speak of is in defense of our individual liberties, protect the sov- ereignty of our state, and preserve the values that our founding fathers envisioned for our great nation. This is the year for conservatives to make a change and it will be one for the protection of innocent lives, our 2nd amendment rights, less govern- ment spending, a common sense climate for small businesses to grow job creation, and most importantly, a place to raise our children. Please join me in honoring the men and women that have made the ultimate sacrifice of defending our individu- al freedoms and national security by voting on May 29th. Thank you for allowing me to be your con-servative voice in the Texas Sen-ate. Every day, I am reminded that we are truly

blessed to call Texas our home, a great place to live, work and raise our families. Likewise, we are fortu-nate to live in the United States of American, the land of freedom and opportunities. Over the past couple of years, however, every day I am reminded that our freedoms, liber-ties, and family values are under attack.

A Message from Texas Senator Glenn HegarNow, however, in 2012 we have a second alternative and that is the ballot box. Our primary elections have been delayed in Texas by over two months and we are still denied the implementation of a common sense Texas’ Voter Identification Law, because of this administration. Now is the time for Texas Repub-licans to unite and take back our government. I ask that you join me in turning out to vote on May 29th, so that we can send a loud and clear message that we want a “change” on November 6, 2012. The change that I speak of is in defense of our individual liberties, protect the sov-ereignty of our state, and preserve the values that our founding fathers envisioned for our great nation. This is the year for conservatives to make a change and it will be one for the protection of innocent lives, our 2nd amendment rights, less govern-ment spending, a common sense climate for small businesses to grow

job creation, and most importantly, a place to raise our children. Please join me in honoring the men and women that have made the ultimate sacrifice of defending our individu-

al freedoms and national security by voting on May 29th.

Fort Bend County Conservative Voters Guide

It was a great honor to serve the people of the 28th District in the Texas House of Repre-sentatives during the 82nd

legislature and I look forward to the 83rd Legislature in January. While the last Legislative session was very difficult because of budget shortfalls, we will continue to face tough deci-sions in the next.

That is why it is so important that we all go to the polls in May to elect strong conservative Republicans who will continue the fight against higher taxes and intrusive gov-ernment regulation. This is true in Washington, Austin and in our hometowns. Our government, at

all levels, must spend the money we give them wisely and efficiently. Texas has one of the best business climates in the country and we must keep it that way so businesses will continue to move here and create jobs for Texans.

Health and Human Services spend-ing, the fastest growing area of our state budget, must be reined in while making certain our safety net remains strong enough to serve our most vulnerable citizens. How we pay for health care is an issue that will require great thought and plan-ning. As chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health and Hu-man Services I will spend a lot of time on those issues.

Even with all the difficult issues fac-ing us, Texas is still a great place to live, work and raise our families. The Primary process is how we select our party’s candidates for the General Election in November and

it is vital that we select strong con-servative candidates who can win in November. Please join Cindy and me as we go to the polls during early voting to make certain we select candidates who will take our values to Washington, Austin and Fort Bend County.

Betty Adams

Don moved to Fort Bend County in 1988 with his wife and small son. One of the driving forces behind the move was the environment Fort Bend County offered not to mention the acclaimed school district. Don is a law enforcement officer with more than 26 years experience with The Harris County Sheriff’s Office. McCall is Endorsed by almost every Police Officers Association in the Area.

His accomplishments include:• Graduated from the Harris County Sheriff’s Academy.• Currently hold a Master Peace Officer License in the State of Texas.• 100 Club ‘Officer of the Year’ recipient for saving the life of a 2 year old drowning victim.• Rotary Club ‘Officer of the Year’ recipient for locating a 12 year female who was lured out her east Harris County home, via the internet, by a known sexual predator. The suspect in the case was arrested, charged and convicted and currently serving a lengthy prison sentence.• Recognized by M.A.D.D. for work in combating DWI in an effort to make the streets safer.• Recognized by Houston Police Department for extraordinary commitment and un-selfish service in the arrest of two suspects planning to rob and murder two citizens.• Harris County Sheriff’s Office ‘Valor’ award winner for actions taken in a 2008 robbery. Don suffered a gunshot wound in the line of duty. The suspect was taken into custody, convicted and is currently serving time in prison.• Promoted to the rank of Sergeant within the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Work:• Employed at the Harris County Sheriff’s Office since 1985.• Assigned to both detentions and patrol bureaus within the department.• Worked as both a contract and district deputy.• Assigned in a street level narcotics division (HOT SPOTS) combating neighborhood narcotic crime.• Assigned to the Traffic Enforcement Divisions where I oversaw the Wrecker Ordinance and conducted abandoned motor vehicle auctions for the Sheriff’s Office.• Currently assigned to the Patrol Bureau as an assistant watch supervisor where I oversee the work and productivity of more than two dozen deputies. As an assistant watch supervisor, my main responsibility is to make decisions that will directly affect the direction of any major criminal investigation.
