You can reserve items online, over the phone and in person. Holds can be picked up at any Library within the TADL District. This is set up on your ac-

count or at the time of the hold request. Please keep in mind, you must have a library card and fines under $5.00 to borrow items. If you are picking up a hold, you must have the card the item was re-served under. We cannot look up account numbers for children, spouses or friends. The hold item

has to be borrowed under the account it was requested under. This is for everyone’s protection and it is Library policy. If you have any

questions regarding hold items, please contact the Library at 231-879-4101.

~ Let’s PIN It! ~ Feb. 17 at 1:00pm

Everyone is invited to join us for some winter crafting! No skills required. Back by popular Demand we will be making smittens (sweater mittens). We are asking for $5.00 for all the supplies needed, and pre-Registration is required, so we can have enough for everyone. Supplies will include everything you need for this project.

Please contact the Library to RSVP at 231-879-4101.

Starting in February, we will be having a once a month yarn group. Library patrons of all ages are welcome to come Tuesdays at 4:00pm and meet in front of

the fireplace. Come enjoy a hot cup of coffee, hone your craft skills, and share a good time with others.

Are you going to be holding a community event? Turn in a flyer and we will insert it into our newsletter! All flyers MUST be turned in by the 15th of the month to be included, and MUST include the following:

Date, time, location, information about the event, and contact number for the individual in charge.

If all requested information must be provided on time, so make sure all your T’s are crossed and your I’s are dotted! You can email any flyers or event information to [email protected].

~ Blind Date With A Book Is Back! ~ All Month Long

Take a chance on love . . . with a book! We will have a selection of reading material set aside for you to choose from. The books will be wrapped up so you can’t judge them by their covers (get it?!) , but we will put some clues as to what they’re about to help you choose. Will you get a dud, or will it be the best blind

date you’ve ever had? Not knowing is part of the fun!

Hig survived the flu pandemic that killed everyone he knows. Now

he lives in the hangar of a small abandoned airport with his dog, Jasper, and a mercurial, gun-toting misanthrope named Bangley. But when a random transmission beams through his radio, the voice ignites a hope deep inside him that a better life exists outside their tightly controlled perimeter.

~ Successful Friends Membership Campaign Continues ~

Have you joined the Friends of the Fife Lake Public Library? As a Library Lover you are invited and encouraged to become a member today. As dedicated volunteers, Friends advocate not only for our library, but also raise

much needed funds, sponsor programs and special events, such as the annual Silent Auction and our Community Christmas celebration. So if you haven't joined Friends this year, consider doing so today. For further infor-

mation and questions related to Friends, contact the library at 231-879-4101

The Friends of the Library have had a very successful 2015. They will be taking a break until April when they will start plans for 2016 events. The Friends are

always seeking energetic individuals to volunteer. These events provide valuable funds to help continue and improve current library programs, and

allow staff to develop new ones. Volunteers are greatly appreciated, and truly have an impact on the community. If you are interested, please contact the

Library to see where you can help out.
