Lord God, for those times when I’ve looked down on others, thinking that I’m better than them because of the way I live my life, please forgive me.

Lord God, for those times when I’ve had an over-inflated picture of my righteousness when I stand before you, please forgive me.

When I’m feeling down, crushed by my sin and a sense of unworthiness, help me to see again your unconditional love for me . . . that you still love me and always will, no matter what I have done.

Lord, help me to reach out to others with that same unconditional love, as sinner to fellow sinner. Amen.
